From the moment we stepped into the hotel the staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The room, although small was adequate and spotless. We booked Bed and Breakfast but after sampling their Jazz evening meal decided to book for another evening and were not dissapointed. We did not find one thing to 'moan' over and will definately be booking again. Staff are friendly, rooms are modern, clean & comfortable. Food is excellent and the bar brasserie is a nice place for an afternoon coffee or evening drink. Sandwich is quaint and full if history, nice to go somewhere which is untouched by commercial businesses, there is not a fast foid or pound shop in sight!.
所有评语 » The staff were excellent from reception to bar to maids all were very polite and helpful, the setting was also excellent and the hotel was very clean and well laid out and decorated. We ate on the patio area on the first night and the food was good as it also was for breakfast. lovely atmosphere, individual rooms with lovely decor, luxury bedding and towels. Restaurant food was superb. bar staff,especially Tom, were great. breakfast brilliant. if not so far away we would stay again without a doubt. All staff. Dry friendly and helpful. Clean efficient staff friendly mainly locals. Service was excellent. We were on a visit to elderly family who live in the area. Fellow guests completely compatible (probably more lively at weekends but I am sure in good taste) A good all purpose Hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had our 16 week old daughter and the hotel and staff made us feel very welcome. Rooms are very comfortable with picturesque views of the town and river. Dined in the restaurant and thought it was very nice. Very pleasant hotel staff friendly and efficient. Room clean and comfortable. Bed and linen v comfortable. Breakfast v good and freshly cooked. Nice airy comfortable seating area in reception Sandwich is a delightful town and well worth visiting. The breakfast was excelent and all staff very friendly and helpful, the location very good. I really enjoyed my walks around the hotel and found a very nice local cinema, the restaurants near by and the hotel restaurant is very good. the standards of customer service, the individually cooked and chosen breakfasts, the absence of plastic pot quantity control, the helpfulness of all staff, and the wonderful feeling mof being made to feel special. A lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was really good. It's a great location in the centre of Sandwich - we used it for a long weekend visiting Kent and it was perfect for that. The staff we really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was gorgeous and so comfortable. Best nights sleep I've had in ages. Generous sized room. All very clean. Good bed and plenty of bedding. Warm atmosphere. Staff professional and helpful. Renovations were taking place during our stay but it did not a cause problem. We were very comfortable at the Bell Hotel. the staff were warm and helpful, everyone was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast food was excellent. The dinning room , the bar and the beer garden .We were blessed we stayed at the Bell Hotel nice sunny days. Really lovely place to visit. More of a relaxing chilled break away from the fast pace of life and work. A charming character Hotel situated in an ideal position to explore Sandwich. We will be staying again. the receptionist was very helpful and told us about the deals etc,also about local history etc. I thought the staff very helpful and friendly,it made my stay very enjoyable. Room Food Service. The staff very friendly and helpful, comfortable rooms. comfortable bed, hot water and cleanliness. Location right in the heart of Sandwich. bedroom lay out. Location. The hotel is advertised as dog friendly, which on almost every level it is, apart from the bar where dogs aren't allowed even though every other pub in the town allowed it ! Understand the restaurant but the bar part was very random and meant that we ate and drunk elsewhere. Also the window in our room only opened a couple of inches and as it was a hot weekend it was like an oven. Bathrooms are a bit plain and boring. Cushion on our bed had a few stains on it. Room was very hot and smells from kitchen evident. Not much of a view. The noise coming from next door room late in the evening was very disturbing and did not had anybody coming up to sort out. nothing. The room was noisy. There was an alarm going off all weekend which wasn't the hotel's fault but the bars across the road were noisy too. It has no parking - but the public parking was cheap. Lots of stairs so not great with the buggy but the staff were really helpful and there was some where to safely store the buggy near reception. There is a net outside the window presumably to stop birds from sitting on the ledges. Unfortunately a bird had got caught and had died there. An alternative deterent to netting would be desirable perhaps the rspca or rspb could advise. Netting unattractive as a window view. Need to change the lighting in the restaurant to create a better atmosphere in the evenings. Parking. Parking. Due to the fact the hotel is having an upgrade while at the same time the council are doing likewise with the flood defences, you have to park on the limited public car park at the Quay and pay full price. I would have thought the local council would have offered a discounted price to those visiting and staying the Sandwich to encourage tourism. Not enough car parking. Only 3 spaces available, but even with renovations underway there wont be any more car parking spaces when it is all finished. although lots of building work was being carried out outside, many of the interior areas, such as the stairway, could do with painting. Parking not all that easy. Nothing. Bathroom a bit basic. nothing. The lack of parking and the indifferent welcome when we arrived was something out of Fawlty Towers. No assistance offered at all with luggage and clearly we were interrupting the lady on reception. I personally found the rest of the hotel to be soulless and very corporate in it's feel ( the exception being the bedroom) . We spoke to some guests who had eaten in the brasserie and found the food dull and lacklustre at the price. lack of vegetarian options woken by cleaners having a chat about rotas (cleaning cupboard near our room). Room too hot and duvet too warm Corridors and carpets a bit tired. Taps in bathroom awkward to use. Room door difficult to lock. Fixed shower-head Restricted parking area. Nothing I didn't like. Rain coming through our ceiling at 5am!. Dogs in Hotel. lack of hotel parking may deter some. Decor was a bit tired. Room was quite small for a double and very hot. Shower cubicle also very small and room was pricey for its size. parking. Small rooms, noises internal and external, radio and bedside light did not work.
