The staff are delightfully friendly and helpful.The room, though small, had everything we needed, with a great view over the duckpond and a surprisingly comfortable bed. Breakfast was ample and delicious--loved the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! Both pub and restaurant had excellent food and drink. Free wireless internet access was a nice surprise--LetsBookHotel.com says there is an hourly rate.

The bedroom was comfortable, but not as 'luxurious' as expected. The dining room was particularly attractive and the best feature of the hotel. The evening meal was very good. Close to city but had a country feel with the river and fields around,nice genuine mill hotel. The location - parking available and a gentle walk across a warwemeadowto the city centre. Nice position, good hosts, bar and restaurant very good.Breakfast and friendly staff. The ambience of the Hotel and the excellent breakfast. Free internetwas a bonus.The food was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Some of the summer staff was new and inexperienced; once they left our room unlocked after cleaning and I had to ask to have the teabags replaced in my room. Three flights of stairs, though not a surprise in an Inn of this age, were tough on us. The staff gladly helped with our bags.small selection of vegatrian meals. narrow staircases, and some of the upstairs room were very warm, because of the central boilers. The car park was isolated and 100m from the hotel front door, the roomhad all you want in it but needs an update. Decor needed updating and bathroom needed replacing.Decor in hotel rooms needs updating, especially bathrooms. It was good to find internet access in the rooms, unfortunatley thewireless keyboard was hopeless rendering the system completlyuseless. Thankfully the friendly, helpful staff were able to get theinfo we needed.The Restaurant was nice but food expensive for what we got. The lack of available about the history of the Mill was disappointing. Also, each room should have the list (in reception) of the info re meals, checkout etc. Also free maps should be provided - we had to ask for one. My husband complained that all the menus etc were in too small a font. Room could be cleaner. Some of the interior decoration in the rooms is dated. Bar was a bit noisy at times. Room was overheated, perhaps because close to heating boiler. They advertised "wireless access" in the rooms. There was none. (Something wrong with the system) This was difficult as I had arranged an international meeting there, and it was impossible to communicate with them. 2) I thought the cost was exhorbitant, given the size of the room - and the fact that I had to climb three flights of stairs - with suitcases. 3) They "did not do" wake up calls.Decor in my room a bit tired, a few holes in panels, steamed up double glazed window, dust lurking behind the undisturbed phone book. Nothing serous though, main things clean enough and given the age of the building one would expect some compromises., ,. Maybe that it was located above a bar. The floor boards were a bit creaky. I like to stay in hotels where there is a gym that is located in the town centre.Beds were too soft. The steep, narrow staircase to the bedrooms. This should be made clear in the on-line description of the hotel. Also the flood-defence works going on right outside, on the footbridge. Guests should have been warned about this.Noise between rooms very audible, people above us awake very early could hear talking and walking about. Tired, overpriced, shabby, poor value for money. This hotel needs a total overhaul, and is very expensive when compared with others in the same strip. Very disappointing, and felt very expensive.Carpet was not cleaned before and during the stay. Bathroom was notclean - bath not washed. The bedroom was too small for two and apart from the restaurant the remainder of the facilities were in dire need of refurbishing.
