everything.
Good food.
The hotel is very close to the River Wye and we had a superb view of the river and up to the town of Ross on Wye, the centre of which is approx 1.2km (lovely walk).
We had a meal in the bar in the evening, we were late arriving but nothing was too much trouble. And the food was superb, as was the breakfast.
Location for access by car
Good, homely food cooked individually.
Friendly owners made us very welcome.
Convenient location.
the view from the bedroom.
Minor problem with stairs as my wife had just had a major knee op. But hotel was able to provide ice in profusion for her knee chilling machine. This is a nice place!.
My parents found the stairs difficult and this maybe needs to be more prominent in the advert.
Breakfast and check out were quite early (breakfast until 9:30 check out by 10:30).
Would of like two easy chairs to sit in ,in bedroom as there was no lounge. bathroom needed updating.

A little in need of some updating.
There was no shower in the ensuite and the bathroom was clearly in need of a refurb. Dated suites don't bother us too much as long as it is clean (it was) but the plumbing was loud and terrible! The pillows could be better too.
There was only two rooms left when we booked, so we ended up in the attic rooms, which were very clean but noisy with the floorboards squeaking and the water tanks running all night. But too be fair we did leave our booking very late.
Hotel is a bit chaotic.
It is old, which is fair enough, but the reception area needs to be tidied, some old coats and junk removed.
Poor selection of drinks and bar snacks..
No light bulb in bedside light
Light in bathroom not working
No shower.
there was a wedding on and we were unable to get a drink or anything to eat. The disco was very noisey and went on until just after 12.00. This was not stated at time of booking.
