Can't recommend highly enough - Beautiful decor friendly staff. Breakfast was great, the hotel is close to the town centre a short walk. There was ample parking. Free internet access was a bonus. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated. I would recommend this hotel. As a small hotel there is no lift so if you have mobility issues this may not be a suitable hotel for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the reviews helped me pick the black horse , and it lived up to my expectations. Would love to stay again ! - We received a fantastic greeting and, throughout our visit, excellent personal service from all the staff that we encountered. The standard of the evening meal, food and service, was very high to the point that we would definitely see this hotel as a 'destination' for a future visit. The breakfast hamper delivered to the room was a novel but very good touch.

The quality of everything was excellent, with superb attent - We couldn't fault our stay at grassington house. The room was beautiful, as was the hotel itself. The staff were welcoming and attentive, we felt very well looked after! The food in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous...we enjoy eating out & this was one of the best meals we've had in a while. A thoroughly relaxing stay in a gorgeous place.

The personal welcome note, to the fire in the library with cocktails allowed us to unwind from our travels. Unfortunately we were in a rush as we were off to a christening but we would have loved to have lingered longer.   The location is great - around 10 mins to the city wall and a further 10 to the centre. It was lovely inside too - we stayed in the rose suite which was perfect - very cosy and romantic!
