  Guy and Claire are a very friendly couple who will do what they can to make your stay an enjoyable one however long it is for. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed we had was a queen size and was very comfortable. There was plenty of tea and coffee to be had in the room. All in all we had a very cheap and enjoyable stay. - We were very impressed with everything about this B&B. The rooms were spotless everyday, the breakfast facilities were great, very near to beaches, cafes, and local bus & train stations.   Foxhills is located just a short walk from the centre of Shanklin old village and is an ideal hotel for a short break on the Isle of Wight. The owners made us feel extremely welcome, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was superb. A particular pleasure was James and Paula's suggested "Round the Isl - The hotel was in a great location for Shanklin, it was clean very comfortable and had a fantastic breakfast collection. James and Paula were very helpful as well as organising our ferry travel they also had a handy pack in the room with local walks and island attractions, they also requested guests to review where they had eaten, this certainly helped with our decisions. Overall a fantastic place and would stay again if ever on the island.

  absolutely worthy, the owner of the place is lovely, i really felt at home at oaklands... if you're planning to go to the island, this is the place to stay, best quality for money - nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors - they even ordered good weather for our stay!!! The small fridge in our room was an excellent idea.

  Everything about the stay was brilliant! The lady who greeted us on arrival (I think this is the owner) was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful - even down to the furniture in the lounge. We overslept and missed breakfast, (which we was gutted about) so I can't comment on that... My room had a great view of the harbor, the staff was very friendly and they made it easy for me to check in as soon as I arrived even though the staff wasn't on site at the time.   I cannot praise the Fernbank enough. The owner could not have been more helpful or hospitable. The hotel is beautifully decorated cared for. The public areas were very relaxing to sit in. The room I stayed in was spotless and very comfortable. Although I did not use the pool it was very inviting. I am quite a fussy traveller and think the - The staff were excellent and made you feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. The Fernbank delivers a high quality of service and comfort and we would certainly go back.

Car park adjacent to the hotel which was great and again we were permitted to use this early too. Breakfast was great, full cooked - Wonderful,friendly professional welcome - we had stayed in several places on the Isle of Wight over the course of a week - all advertising themselves as in the same bracket - and Yelf's was the first place to tick all of the boxes. The staff are friendly and welcoming: these people really know what they are doing. Next time I would base myself at Yelf's for the whole week.
