  We are walking from John o Groats to Lands End and used the West Highland Way as part of the route. Ashbank is right on the West Highland Way and was perfect for us. We received a very warm welcome and were instantly made to feel at home.   For a chain, it's well done and as personal as a chain can get. The staff was really friendly and helpful and even let us check in a bit early. The location is right on the bus line and the foot path to the Falkirk Wheel runs right behind the attached restaurant.   Old Churches House was superb in every way. The food was excellent. The room was extremely comfortable. The shower was great. The location across from Dunblane Cathedral was quiet and yet awe inspiring. We have already recommended Old Churches House to family and friends, and would definitely stay there again. - We had a very good room with good facilities. Friendly staff. In-house restaurant was very good so we ate there on all 3 nights. The situation is superb, opposite Dunblane Cathedral. We were able to park right outside the hotel in the very quiet street and if that had not been possible the public car park was just across the churchyard and in sight. We had a great stay.
