Many rooms at Innkeeper's Lodge Edinburgh overlook the river and iconic Forth Road Bridge, and each has a flat-screen TV, en suite bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. A roaring log fire and pretty beer garden are featured in the Hawes Inn country pub and restaurant which is attached to the lodge. Dishes such as braised pork belly and cheese-topped fish pies are served in the restaurant, while real ales and cask-conditioned beers are on offer at the bar. Deep Sea World aquarium is only 15 minutes by car, and Bedlam Paintball Edinburgh is just 2.3 miles away.

We loved every minute of our stay at South Queensferry. My two children 9yrs and 8yrs want us to book to go back. The staff were so friendly and very helpful when my children couldn't connect to the wifi. Nothing was a bother to the staff, very helpful. My children thought it was Paul's hotel, he was always there to give us help and advice. We would recommend this to our family and friends and we will be back for more.
所有评语 » The location is excellent. Great parking and very good welcome at check-in. Warm and homely. The room was huge and comfortable with great heating when needed. Very clean. Evening meal was excellent and excellent service. Special mention to breakfast and the hostess, Lee. She made a great breakfast memorable. Awesome literary history, totally quaint, historic location. A delightful experience...felt like a place that was caught in a time warp and Robert Lewis Stevenson could sit down beside you at the incredible fireplaces at any moment. Traditional pub style inn -- just what we were looking for. Excellent meal -- can't say enough about the food and our server; she was great. Location -- beautiful town. Spaciouis room with very comfortable beds. The staff although very busy were friendly, efficient and eager to help. We had a river view room and I would recommend this, a brilliant view of the Forth and the railway bridge. Large comfortable room with separate sitting room, Building had old world charm, Even the sound of the trains above on the bridge were another feature. We had the fsmily room which would easily sleep 5 with plenty of space, it was enormous. Very clean. Bar downstairs very nice, staff all very friendly. Staff were great, slept well, clean and tidy, nice being able to have a meal and nightcap and walk upstairs to bed. Had no problems with train noise. Rustic atmosphere, friendly staff , lovely location and very reasonable food. Trip was made even better as I had Aileen with me and my new car. Liked the location virtually under the Forth Railway Bridge. Plenty of history of the bridge on site in the bars and lounge. Good service. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Extremely good value for money. It was a charming, friendly little place that was comfortable and easy. The pub had great food and a terrific atmosphere. Free wifi throughout the property so you are able to work in your room rather than being restricted to the public areas. Not a dislike at all, but feel it would be fair to note that the furnishings in the bedrooms are older style -- but very clean and attractive. Nothing. nothing. No negatives. Have no complaints but get tired of reading about other people complaining about the trains .... The Innkeepers is below the famous rail bridge ..... of course there are trains .... The asparagus and mushroom mousse was a major letdown and they ran out of croissants and mushrooms at breakfast. I thought that the breakfast could have been cheaper for having a cooked breakfast £6.95 over the continental breakfast price was somewhat of a joke when the continental breakfast was limitless. The distance quoted by letsbookhotel.com from the airport (3 miles) - it is actually 9. May not seem a large difference but in a black cab the fare (one way) was £19. For price of stay I would have liked full English breakfast rather than only continental. More bar snacks / room service out of meal hours. Service at check in and bar service slow. May have been timing but the impression left was that there was slight under-staffing at the bar as I and several people had to wait circa 10-15 minutes or more for service. Wifi and mobile coverage very patchy. Nothing. couldn't find fault. Slow to check in and noisy early in the morning (5am) with trains over the bridge. WiFi was not to great. There was nothing that we didn't like, apart from maybe updating the rooms a bit. My room was in a high traffic area so I did not get much sleep due to the noise. not able to run a tab for drinks and food. did not like the fact one had to pay on arrival. funny noise came from toilet occasionally. I requested a bath but wasn't told there aren't any rooms with baths. Unfriendly, unhelpful receptionist successfully spoiled our otherwise favourable impression. Key entry system to bedrooms - could leave you stranded outside on the stairs whilst your other half is fast asleep having used the only electronic key to gain access to the rooms area!. Nothing. The bed was a bit lumpy and saggy. We would have liked a Scottish breakfast included in our stay. A little bit noisy. Breakfast without butter. Noise from trains, rooms need updated. Nothing. The noise of the kitchen extractor fan from room 14, having to walk in the road from room 1 to the main entrance due to parked vehicles and hotel signage, the furniture and lighting and the lack of cleanliness and maintenance. Access to bedroom was close to commercial kitchen and refuse disposal. As a public house, there was a need for more improvement in refuse outside the hotel. Wifi access was impossible if you had no cell phone. That was frustrating. We ate in the restaurant, and the service was poor. My meal was cold, and took a very long time to return. No offer of compensation until I requested. No bed had been made up for our 4 year old son, and there was no bedding in the room to make the sofa bed up ourselves. Was quite expensive Bar closed at 11pm on Saturday night. trains running across bridge all night and all evening and early in morning, got no sleep whatsoever!!!! should have been warned prior to accepting booking. On checking in I told staff I had to leave early before breakfast and he promised to leave a packed breakfast outside my door but he didn't. Also noise of trains caused poor sleep. Poor service. Lack of staff professionalism. Disorganised. Food disappointing. Overpriced. Oversold on I/Net. 4 experienced mature adults could not decypher our dinner waiter as he appeared to suffer from a lack of commmunication skills. My wife and I had invited our brother in law and wife for an overnight stay, before we departed for overseas, and were just little a bit embarrassed, as we expected a quality night for the money we paid. It was a glorified pub, and hardly up market.
