As a prime location for wedding receptions and private functions, the hotel has live bands and discos until 01:00 most weekends, and sometimes during the week.

We arrived by boat, mooring the boat outside was wonderful. Our room was bright and very smart,with a wonderful view. A full length mirror would have been nice. Location,room,facilities and staff. The restaurant was excellent. It was close to the pub!. The Location. The views from our window were, as ever, stunning; this was our 3rd stay at the hotel and it's a place we'll always enjoy visiting.所有 评语 »
the service, the people, the cleanliness, and the location. enjoyed a family wedding,staff where friendly and helpful. Good location and friendly staff. The hotel Staff were very friendly and helplfull,the food was excellent, and the location was just perfect.Superb position right on the banks of Oulton Broad and the staff were on the whole very friendly. The view. It was a very cold day and the staff had put an extra heater in my room. The view across Oulton Broad. The view from the room was fantastic an added bonus and the staff very helpful and accomodating.The views over Oulton Broad and the closeness to Everetts Park and th waters of Oulton Broad. The best aspect was its location, also especially good if you like boat racing. Traditional style, lovely situation on the waterfront.Good breakfast, general cleanliness, lovely location. the breakfast was amazing (full english). convenient for my purpose in staying. By the river and nice views. that i was the only rooms avaliable i that area. the room was nice and clean. breakfast was ok. Not Much, nice location, tired and poor furnishings, just like the staff. Small Room. Full English breakfast was very good but would have been better with beans but I'm being very picky but it was my only complaint, everything else was good or better than good.Trying to get us to use a credit card rather than a debit card. However, it was not a major issue as they allowed us to pay by our choice up front. Our room was small and there were no chairs due to the lack of space.We were unlucky with the carvery as all the vegetables were reheated andnot up to standard. The room was next to a very noisy kitchen extract fan , which ran from early morning to almost midnight.Not enough shelf space in the bathroom. Room not very warm from radiator, but small heater supplied. Carvery meal good value, but was not very hot. The noise from the functions on in the hotel at the week-end. all fruit machines were switched off in the bar when i went to have a go at 10.40.When we went to the bar for food at 9pm we were told we couldn't haveanything as the chef had finished,when it clearly says on the board foodserved until 9.30.We also ran out of toiletroll in our room I went downto reception to tell them and she told me to go and find roomservice whowere around somwhere cleaning rooms. The food in the restaurant was very good, but a wider selection of choice on the menu would be a definite bonus. The emphasis is greatly on the carvery, but this could look more attractive.the bed was not made, the remote control didn't wok, the bed is so hard, there was no one on reception when we returned (i had to actually call the hotel and tell them I was here), and i was charged breakfast on my bill and I already told the receptionist that I didn't want it. i thought for the money we paid something should have been included like breakfast or dinner!!. disco noise levels, shabby decor, smell of damp in the bathroom, very small double room,more suited to a single,difficult access to room via stairs. The rooms are very basic and tired looking - like going back 20 years in hotel quality.
