Close to Aviemore and the Grampians mountain range, this hotel is just over an hour’s drive from Inverness. It is surrounded by the stunning scenery of Cairngorms National Park, and is ideal for walking, cycling and fishing in the nearby area. Cosy and traditionally furnished, rooms at Monadhliath Hotel feature a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Each also has a bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. A full cooked breakfast is provided each morning, served in the dining room. There is a bar for lunch and evening meals, with freshly prepared food made from high-quality local ingredients. It is an hour’s drive to Fort Augustus, which stands over the world-famous Loch Ness. Loch Laggan is about a 10-minute drive away.

The owners and staff were very kind and friendly, always making sure we were comfortable and happy. The food was fantastic, including the complementary breakfast. The location is beautiful, a perfect pit-stop on a drive through the Highlands. There was free wifi in the common rooms, which was fast and no-fuss. Basically everything about this place was great.
Nice room with huge, comfortable bed and en suit shower room. Great food - we ate in the hotel every night as we wanted to try as much of the Menu as we could. Very good breakfast menu. Peaceful retreat in a beautiful location, lovely walks. Owners, Annie and Neil, were very warm, welcoming and helpful.

The whole experience. The staff were very welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was especially good. The grounds were pleasant and relaxing, and the room was spacious and comfortable.
Warm welcome, friendly and efficient service putting the guests first, good room and excellent dinner and breakfast. Everything a good small hotel should be in short. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
Everything was perfect the owners Neil and Annie were wonderful, the restaurant was excellent and the location along with the old church ruin makes it a very picturesque setting. Thank you Terry & Christelle.

The lodge was fabulous!.
While the accommodation is good, the best is definitely the chef. Dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast he prepared were absolutely marvellous.

Although not an issue for us during our stay, on reflection there was not much space to dry/air walking clothes after a wet day. maybe there is a drying space?.
