The hotel was in a great location which meant we could walk easily to shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel room was really good, it was modern and really clean. Also we found the staff helpfull and really friendly. The best bit was the facilties the hotel offered, we used the restaurant for breakfast and meals and then the lesiure suit was a great way to start the morning. I only stayed one night but the hotel staff, especially room service who were quick and efficient bringing everything from ice buckets to ironing boards were very helpful. The pool attendant was also very helpful in his manner and advice as to what to see and do in the city and the pool and leisure facilties were spotless and a joy to use.
所有评语 » Good location for rail travellers, being able to leave luggage even though I had checked out whilst I did my business meetings, I was a little worried having seen some comments about the staff, but I found the staff at this hotel went out of there way to help and were extremely friendly. The Stafff was very friendly, they even made a comment on how i talk like like Slyvester Stallone, made my day :) I recommend everyone, it's next to the staition and very close to Chinatown and St James park if you are going there for football. Room was really clean and the staff on hand at reception were both friendly and helpful. Hotel is right in the centre of Newcastle so there isn't far to walk. yes, I was just asking the front desk where to get a taxi from, and she offered to call one for me and said that it is cheaper that way. wonderful.I very much enjoyed my stay; staff were friendly and very helpful. No waiting times at check-in and check-out; excellent breakfast buffet. Very friendly professional staff. Good pool. Free mini bar was a nice touch. Food was tasty and served nicely. Excellent location.the staff were very welcoming and even though i was hours early when i checked, i was given entry to my room immediately. As a woman traveling aone I need to feel safe. My needs were met by the RSH. The wifi access was great.The size of the rooms were excellent and the staff were very helpfull. Very nice hotel helpful happy staff pool and jacuzzi was excellent. Elegant, prestigious hotel for a very reasonable rate. Closeness to city, free fridge, leisure centre. The comfort and space in the very clean rooms. Good central location for Newcastle. absolutelly. The room was lovely, and we loved that the water and some snacks were complimentary...also nice to have fresh fruit at the front desk. Even with the refurbishment going on outside, it wasn't that loud. GREAT location. We ordered room service and it was very affordable and tasted great!.. The portion size surprised us, they were good portions and came really fast.Helpful and attentive staff. Great Victorian architecture, wonderful entrance lobby, nice room, no problem when I wanted to move away from the first room i was given, which overlooked the station. Very polite room service. The hotel had an adjoining room for your clothes and and the children. Big room, good size bathroom. Very good value for money. Would definately stay here again.The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was private, no disturbances from street noises. The pool area was very clean. We just stayed overnight so didn't use any of the facilities but the room was spacious and comfortable.Location, breakfast, staff, leisure facilties, and other bars/eateries. We were realy happy with our stay,everything was very good apart from the information we recieved from the night porter who advised us the ajoining bar was open till 2.00am,we were allowed into the bar by the doorstaff and allowed to order a drink,on sitting down at around 12.30,we were asked to drink up and leave which disapointed us,if we had haqve known this we would have gone to another bar. A comfortable contemporary hotel in the centre of Newcastle. Hotel room was lovely with immaculate bathroom. The hotel did have facilities but we never used them as they were plenty of bars and restaurants round about. We booked this hotel as it was close to the metro radio arena. The arena was with in walking distance and the hotel staff were very good in giving directions as well as a map.i stayed in one of the superior double rooms and founnd it to be large and very comfortable. i would also recommend the breakfast as the food and service was very good. I would definately stay here again. The location was excellent, the staff were friendly, The room was cleaned everyday, the towels were changed every day it was fine. I enjoyed my stay.Restaurant - food was freshly prepared and good quality. Very nice room with extras included in the fridge, which was a nice touch. Nice, comfortable room, central location for Newcastle city centre. I also liked staying in a grand Victorian building.Room was excellent - very moden, clean and well equipped. Surprisingly spacious too, and free wireless excellent bonus. the hotel is central to all the major facilities in Newcastle ,minutes from the main rail station.Very relaxing, perfect location for exploring newcastle and so near the metro!. excellent location, gorgeous hotel, lovely staff would recommend to everyone. very helpful staff and the food was excellent and was a reasonable price. A little noisy from party makers outside the hotel but you will get that in any city.Stayed on 4th floor, which was a bit gloomy. Paintwork etc was a bit 'tired'. The food in the restaurant was very disappointing.Had to wait 45 minutes for food as a starter and then when it finally did come, it wasn't up to scratch to be totally honest. I visited the hotel on the basis of it's proximity to Sunderland FC whom I support and my friends and I plan to see a lot more in the future. Frankly, the breakfast and dinner experience were enough to make me stay somewhere else. If you could improve on this, it'd have been an otherwise very pleasureable stay. The breakfast was expensive and did not taste good. The food was pretty tasteless. We went out to grab something the second day.Unfortunately there was a great deal of noise in the middle of the night. Also I think that the hotel would benefit from new steps leading up to it. After all, it is a very grand place, and the tiled steps don't reflect the style of the architecture. Just a suggestion. It took us a while (and lots of laughter) to find out how to switch on the lights, it could have been explained when we checked in.Luggage storage room not locked/supervised. No parkin,we had to pay a £12 price for use of car park nearby.Paid Parking £12 per night. Although it is stated on the website and I was forewarned, there is very limited guest parking which is on a first come first served basis. There is a car park nearby but would be nice if the fee for this be waived if booked in advance.the only negative was that it was noisy at night but that is to be expected next to a train station and a taxi rank. It wouldn't put me off staying again as the hotel was so central for all the amenities. I personally had problems connecting to wireless internet in my room.Stair carpets were in need of replacement. One lift not working - extended waiting times!. the room temperature could have been warmer. milk was not in the room.
