If you want a formal 4/5 star environment, don't come to Lower Barn! It is informal, very friendly, eclectic in design and appearance - you could say "quirky" - and that isn't pejorative. Bright colours everywhere,clever ideas - .how many people would use a huge cable reel end as a dining table ? - on which we had excellent breakfasts Mike and Janie were excellent hosts, friendly and informative, and cook some very enjoyable food. Read the description of the place and the rooms, what you read i.
所有评语 » When we arived, everybody was so nice. (and the stayed nice all the time!) Our chamber was like a little house and we had a tv with some nice dvd's, so we could watch a movie (or two). The colors in the room were fantastic! Every little thing was designed and it was beautiful. We had dinner at the bed and breakfast. That was amazing! There was also an hot tub. lovely!. The decor was unconventional and stunning. Attention to detail phenomenal. All created intricately and decorated amazingly by the incredibly talented owners who are lovely. This beautiful haven of tranquility couldnt be better Absolutely everything you would want/need and so much more. Fabulous location, delightfully bright rooms, welcoming and a few great surprises (Woody the Owl/chocolates in bed/gypsy caravan). Janie & Mike are so accommodating and nothing is too much trouble.We wish them success with their development plans.We will return. The food, the people. Janey and Mike were friendly and relaxed, providing wonderful food and an amazing personal touch. The cleaning lady was very informative over places to go visit, sadly I never caught her name. It's very close to the Lost gardens of Heligan. Everything ! Janie and Mike were so friendly and helpful. Amazing choice of fresh tasty food for breakfast. Unique interior design makes for extra comfort and has inspired me to pick up a paintbrush now I'm at home. Had a great stay and will be back. Mike & Janie very welcoming & friendly.As well as providing the highest standards, they have created an informal, comfortable and relaxing place to be,inside and out.Special mention about decor, such fun and ties all above comments together. I had the Hideaway to myself; relaxing, luxurious, beautiful. The bed was sooooo comfortable and the bathroom incredible. Great assortment of lotions and potions. Felt well rested even though arrived late and left early. Great location if visiting the 'Lost Gardens of Heligan'. Very welcoming hosts. Rooms are luxurious, and located in a lovely quiet location in a beautiful garden setting. WiFi intermittent but given remoteness of location not too surprising. Great food ( breakfasts). People who don't read the description of the place, have false expectations and write a negative review - if I had read their review before booking, I wouldn't have booked, and missed out on a great short break !,. dinner was very good but it turned out to be quite expensive!. The roads to get there are 'interesting' to drive. Make sure you have time on your hands and patience, since singlelane roads do not allow for rushing. Nothing as I had the impression I had landed in paradise. Our SatNav did not find the place. Ask somebody when you get close or call Janie and Mike for description.. nothing. Nothing. Lovely big bath but would have liked a shower in my room too. (Hard to find something I didn't like!). Nothing. There was nothing to dislike. A little remote. Leaving. Pillows too flat. No settee to cuddle on in front of the telly. Telly not in front of tv. No bath. No single toiletries. small room for the price. Had to sit at a large table for breakfast. We had to leave!. The bed is slightly short.
