What we enjoyed about this weekend was the lovely peace and quiet,location and an excellent place to stay.
The owners ann-marie and paul were lovely and very informative of the surrounding areas..
arrived(a day late; due to really bad snow) to a lovely warm welcome,and a nice piece of cake! The room was fresh and very clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need...
Breakfast was really well cooked especially the pancakes.

Everything from the cosy very well decorated room, warm hostess who was extremely helpful in finding activities and transport info. The location of the hotel is perfect, just a minute away from the lake. Breakfast was very nice and the access to the SPA at the Old McDonald is the cherry on top. Heather was a lovely women who made me and my fiance very welcome.
The guest room was very clean and well presented and we had everything we needed and the breakfast was to die for. Heather always made sure we had everything we wanted or needed during our stay.
The location of Chestnuts was very good because it was a 15 minute walk to the shops and 20 minutes to the nearest lake.
Me and my fiance will be going back there very soon...
