the room was of a high standard, also the bathroom of the highest standard we've seen for a long time . The relaxing atmosphere, very pleasant dining area and excellent cooked breakfast. Clean, comfortable accommodation. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. So clean. Big room. Excellent bathroom. Good restaurant. Very friendly, clean and high standards throughout.
所有评语 » We have been visiting Slyne Lodge since, just before, the new owners took over and it has been a pleasure to watch it change - for the better. It is now a lot cleaner - although there is a way to go and the staff are so attentive, especially James. Within minutes of us booking online, there was a phone call from Marcus asking if we wanted to book a table for a meal as the y were quite busy because of Valentine weekend. This was excellent. Thank you . Welcome and general service faultless (despite our rather late arrival), the room was spacious, an architectural delight and in pristine condition. And the fried breakfast- a critical part of the B&B experience and my travelling companions' first taste of this signature British dish- spot on. Would gladly stay here again, and would ask to have the same room if possible. The rooms were really well decorated and comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were lovely. A lucky find of a hotel. Will stay again.Relaxing atmosphere - very good eveining meal, took over 45 mions to arrive, but they do warn on the menu things are freshly cooked. it had a lovely bathroom; it was spotlessly clean; the staff were very nice, and the food was excellent.Fantastic value for money, friendly people and good food. the staff r very friendly. Rooms were quite newly decorated and modern. Restautant was superb and the place had a nice friendly atmosphere in general. friendly welcome from staff, spotless accomodation, peaceful setting yet very convenient for a visit to Lancaster. would stay here again, great location, friendly staff, good breakfast, great value for money one of the only hotels we could find where three adults could stay in the same room with plenty of personal space. nice room with ample tea/coffee etc. Food in resturant very good. The rooms are in a stable block away from the road. Seperate entrance so not locked out when late back.Room was large and quite. Everything we wanted was at hand on the premises, i.e. bar and restaurant. Last time we stayed we were in the ground floor room near to the entrance where the room was really super. this time we were in room 6 which was still comfortable but looked a little 'tired' by comparison. . With the accommodation at the opposite end of the site to the carpark we had a bit of a struggle carrying all our luggage through the pub and restaurant- there was limited handier parking but it wasn't obvious from the road, and anyway we were too late to get a space. No residents bar. Breakfast - at £7.50 this was an expensive add-on. No menus on the table, just a chap asking what I would like. I assumed toast would come automatically as butter and marmalade were on the table, but no, it also had to be ordered. Menus are surely an essential - I probably would not bother with breakfast again at that price, even though it was nicely cooked. Room not prefect but you get what you pay for. No complaints from us.didn'y like the taste of the fat used in cooking particularly at the bar supper but also at breakfast. The cleanliness of the bathroom wasn't bad but could really do with some little changes, the shower panel was dirty on the bottom nothing a little bleach would fix. Some of the furniture in bedroom was a bit tatty , diidnt need replacing just some TLC.n/a. The shower was OK, but a hand held shower head would be good. Exiting from the courtyard onto the road by car was vey dangerous. A mirror opposite would be invaluable. The restaurant service was slow and the restaurant was far too hot. My disabled guest needed to be taken outside for fresh air. Despite the advice signs related to the showers you don't get hot water through them. The pressure is far too low for the showers installed. You can run them as long as you like and it makes no difference.the beds were squeaky so we kept disturbing each other. The actual pub itself was dark and in need of some refurbishment. Thebar meals weren't great. The bed was really uncomfortable.Decor could do with a bit of a tidy up. Doors difficult. No BBC on TV.No hot water for the shower!!!! As pets were allowed, the guest next door had a small dog, which was left in the room whilst they had breakfast - it yapped for what seemed like hours!. The menu was very comprehensive. However, the food was very disappointing.The bed was not clean when we arrived. A discount was offered. When we came to settle the bill, no note had been made by management re the discount. Staff were not particularly warm and one older barman seemed to ignore us for at least ten minutes although he was not serving anyone else and knew we were waiting. The hotel room was clean but not very comfortable. It should be classified as a pub with rooms as opposed to a hotel.
