Friendly helpful staff. Very clean.Excellent property. Had ample parking. Excellent location.Good food. Has a lovely bar and restaurant. Room thoughtfully stacked with water, tea,coffee, dryer, iron, ironing board, toiletries. Good strong shower. Free wifi. Excellent place and very good value for money. well trained friendly staff who were allowed to show their own personality and were not just robots earning a buck.the menu was extensive cooked to individual taste,a gastronomic delight.well stocked bar well looked after beer what more can one ask for.

Very good traditional Scottish fare. Large parking area. Lovely Victorian building, our room was a good size with an enormous window overlooking the street, and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even got some vegetarian sausages in specially for my breakfast. I have no problems with this hotel at all and I do travel a lot. The price is right, the staff 1st class, the facilities clean and comfortable, 1st stay at the Victoria and a nice find. the staff were very helpful also the bar maid in the lounge bar was one of the best i have ever been served witrh her attitude and experience wer 5star. Very pleasant hotel with friendly staff, the bar food was very good as was the substantial breakfast would stay there again liked the character of the place. The food was very good and the hotel was clean , the staff were very friendly and even remembered us from a previous visit 6 months before. I was very welcome by the staff, hotel is very clean and so warm and make you feel at home. very polite staff and nice breakfast. The bathroom lacked anywhere to hang clothes while dressing and the shower was just a trickle. should extend WiFi for all the property although I could pick it up in my room. The bedrooms were a bit too hot but other than that I have no complaints. There is a snooker club/bar near the hotel and it was a little noisy until the early hours of the morning. Perhaps en suite bathroom a little small. Room decor a little run down and bathroom needed updating. The Freeview TV could have included radio. The room we stayed in needed some refurbishment. A lift would be a big plus. Nothing. Decor a bit tired. nothing to dislike. Bedroom was a bit tired and basic (painted wood chip walls). Bar food was OK but also fairly basic. Poor shower. room little small. The hotel information booklet indicated that Sky Sports would be available on the television selection, which was not actually the case. lack of facilities other than B&B. No heating in the room. Windows were single glazing and didn't insulate against the street noise. Room was in urgent need of renovation, seems like nothing was done since the 70's. Single room too far away from stairs. Not much in way Ti help disabled guests. bed was to hard not enough coffee and milk tv could not get the sky channels the breakfast no potato scone or tomato the toast we did not get asked for if we want white or brown no face cloth in bathroom.
