Jackie (Owner) was a wonderful host and the quaintness of the pub and facility is absolutely charming. The rooms were some of the best and spacious we stayed in during our trip through out the uk and Ireland. Also their menu and meals were outstanding. We had just come from Edinburgh the night before eating at the acclaimed Witchery which Kingsbarn blew them away with their Lamb.
Location, Staff, Facilities, Friendly - All Excellent! Although we had a short visit to the Kingsbarns we very much enjoyed the experience and will visit again in near future.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The location was close toany attractions but quiet. Very clean.
We were made to feel very welcome by staff and locals alike. Ideal location for exploring the fife coast.

staff were friendly and anxious to help make the stay enjoyable. breakfasts offered a wide choice of cereals, fruit juices and hot food very dog friendly.
Spacious family room with comfortable bedding for all, including grown up children. Excellent breakfast. A reasonable distance from St-Andrews.

The only potential issue is getting a cab if your playing Kingsbarn to pick you up. They have to come from St Andrews so can be pricey for the just getting to an from the course to the property (1 mile). Jackie was kind enough to pick us up after our round and bring us back.
The noisy fridge in the room - minor annoyance in an otherwise comfortable room.

Needs a bit of TLC especially the windows (cracked, dirty paint).
there was only one bedside lamp in the executive room which meant that a couple could not read in bed. executive room at the rear of the property offered a view of a small terrace only difficult to open fire exit door from hallway as the door was ill-fitting and the handle difficult to grasp.
A bit expensive for the level of comfort and services.
Dodgy tv reception Cracked windows let the place down Shower could have been warmer.

Bad bedside lighting.
The room was off the dining room which felt odd. Although well heated the pillows felt damp and chilly. I had to roll up a jumper as a pillow. Breakfast was in the lounge off the bar and was very chilly. February not a good tome?.
Surroundings were extremely disappointing unless we take the word 'Barn' literally. No maintenance on exterior. No-one willing to accept drop-off of bags before a round of golf until 3pm.
Lack of atmosphere.
