The Old School is the best accommodation we've ever experienced. The setting is terrific, between the mountains on one side and the sea on the other. It is within a short drive of Wasdale, so it was ideal for our hike up Scafell Pike. We were greeted with culinary delights as soon as we arrived, and our hosts really pulled out the stops from start to finish to make sure our stay was absolutely perfect - all the way down to them leaving a birthday card and a bottle of fizz in the room for my b.
所有评语 » Astonishing attention to detail. Superb service. Lesley is the most thoughtful host I've ever stayed with. Rooms spotless and full of nice touches. Bathroom was very well appointed with more towels than we could use. A variety of toiletries provided. The four-poster bed overflowed with cushions. Chocolates, home made flapjack and banana liquor were in our room on arrival. The chest of drawers in our room contained loads of walking guides. Free bottles of water in the fridge outside our room. Th. We loved it, Lesley and John were the best hosts ever, and nothing was to much trouble for them, we felt very welcome. The cottage was comfortable and we could recommend a stay here. We took our two doggies and they loved the walks also. Brucie Lesley and John's dog is a very well behaved and friendly dog. Over all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will book again. We liked everything - could not be bettered, attention to detail excellent in every aspect of our stay from the welcoming glass of port to a home baked cake provided every day. Lesley made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble - we will go back. I loved Bruce (the dog). We had an amazing time at this b&b!lesley and john are lovely people who put so much effort into ensuring you enjoy your stay with them!fab breakfast,spotless comfortable room-I thoroughly recommend!. The room was excellent and the host was very friendly and most helpful, the breakfast was very good with selective menu provided so you could choose in advance what you wanted all in all most excellent. Warm and friendly and a luxurious stay away from home. Superb Breakfast cooked while you wait. Nothing too much trouble would certainly visit again when in area. A fantastic self-catering cottage in a beautiful part of the country made even better by the friendly and thoughtful hosts. I would loved to have stayed longer. We cannot reccomend The Old School highly enough. Wonderfull hosts, amazing location and out of this world huge room. 11/10 See you next year, thank you. - Most comfortable bed within spacious room; - Good shower; - Excellent sized television; - Free Wifi; - Nice breakfast menu selection. A very warm welcome; freedom to come and go when we chose; local pubs good; excellent breakfasts and superb accommodation. Family pets!. The service from owner Lesley was remarkable, above and beyond... I was made welcome and helped in every way possible during my stay. I'd prefer to stay somewhere closer to the centre of the national park but the location is otherwise excellent. There was nothing to dislike. N/A. Leaving. - Not keen on constant presence of dogs/cats; - Lane from main road in poor condition; - Lack of signage at end of lane. Nothing to put in this category. No negatives...full stop. Absolutely nothing!.
