The bed was really comfortable and my room was nice and quiet. The staff were lovely and friendly and the cooked breakfast in the morning was excellent! There was loads of parking and the outside looked like it would be a nice place to sit out on a warm evening. Excellent menu and friendly staff, the hotel being quite old (we were told some of the building had been dated as early 1600s) did not have the facilites and amenities of a modern build but makes up for every deficiency with laods of character.
所有评语 » The price was fair for 2 adults and 2 children , a massive room . They finished serving food at 9 ,we didn't get a table till 9:10 pm and they still took our order for evening meal . Which was very nice food as well. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Excellent accommodation with large room and four poster bed. Exceptional value for money. Beautiful old building and excellent food. One of the best places I have stayed in. Staff were very good. Food was excellent. Lovely old world hotel. Uneven bedroom floors are to be expected in a 350 year old building - very atmospheric. Have already recommended it to friends. Friendly, helpful and committed staff, good menu and atmospheric building combine into a good value option for exploring the Chilterns, Oxford and London. owner is fluent in Dutch. Staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed with my dog and everyone was very accommodating. A beautiful area with lovely walks within minutes. The period style of furnitures. The dinner and breakfast of a very good quality. Very comfortable bed. We plan to stay there again in 2014. All staff very helpful and friendly.Good size room. Welcoming Bar with good choices of food. Excellent breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. They went out of their way to offer a great service from start to finish. Very Homley Place.very nice staff, good food, Nice Locals and not sure about portly grey gent seemed to pop up everywhere like a ghost, Quirky rooms with a bit of a gradient. Not sure what Decor was supposed to be, Very Eclectic in places. very good breakfast. Folk were friendly. Breakfast was the best. Bed was very comfortable and feather quilt mmmm. Shower gel a luxury. Location. I had a room which was off the main part of the hotel and it felt a little bit isolated (but that was probably why it was quiet!) There was no remote control for the TV so it took me ages to work out how to turn it on and tune it in then it was other the other side of the room to alter the volume etc. Not a lot really. Bathroom was dated , but it's an old property so it's not a complaint really. Extremely large pot holes on exiting car park. Entrance porch is quite narrow - but there is another entrance to the car park. As I was working at the theatre in High Wycombe I was only actually around a little bit so it was a little pricey for just somewhere to stay whilst working. Our radiator was not working, even though a replacement mobile one was in the room, still was a bit cold. Room and shower room could both do with updating / refurbishment. Lick of paint, new carpet, new pictures. I asked for an extra bed when booking and it wasn't in my room I had to ask for it even though they had already took the money from me. They charged me twice for my room which made my bank account over drawn and I received bank charges because of this. Accom. would really benefit from refurb. No room for us at breakfast so we had to sit in the bar, had to wait around a bit and didnt get any toast or juice with our breakfast. there was no heat in the bathroom so it was too cold for a shower or bath. The room was large but too cold to enjoy. Not a lot, but no chairs to relax on in our room. Shower curtain could have done with changing. the room was cold the flat screen tv was only about 12in could not see it. My Room No 4 needed a deep clean. hated the bath don't know why. Maybe my autism? the extractor fan needed a slap to stop it squealing. Carpets could have been cleaner. I normaly clean arround and some areas were dirty. Waiter friendly but needed more training in delivering good service. Been charged £10 more than we agreed when booking and been told late bookings are always quoting the wrong price.
