Isabel and Philip's hospitality was outstanding, we felt so welcome and at home in this very clean and pleasant B&B. The breakfast was outstanding- cooked for us freshly as we wished. The room was fresh, well decorated and pleasant. We chose to stay here rather than in the hotel where the wedding we were going to was being held and were glad we did- a stone's throw away from Gretna's famous church and the main wedding reception venues we had a relatively budget friendly wedding whilst fe.
所有评语 » The room & ensuite bathroom (and general surroundings) were clean, the bed was soft & comfortable and it was absolutely roasting in the room when we arrived (never a bad thing!). Both Isabell and Phillip were lovely hosts..they were made for running a B&B. Breakfast was served fresh on our plates each morning. Conveniently located just across the road from Gretna Green station for those using trains, and about a 10 minute walk to the Famous Blacksmith's Shop. I could find no fault with this b & B. It's an absolute gem of a place. Isabelle and Philip were warm, friendly and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was bright, airy, very clean and very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was lovely, ample portions and set us up nicely for the day. It was a pleasure to stay there and we are looking forward to going back sometime. Fernlea B&B is a delightful property with a lovely and thoughtful host who understands great service while allowing privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and furnished in good taste, with attention to detail. We felt really well looked after and would highly recommend this property. It was close to Hadrians Wall as well as the Lakes District. I only booked my room the night before in order to break up my journey south. Fernlea is not far from the Motorway and very easy to find. I could not have been made more welcome, my room was clean bright and very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful. I could not fault anything other than I could only stay the one night. I will certainly stay again. Isabelle is a perfect hostess and made us feel very comfortable. Fernlea is a small B&B, only 2 rooms from what I could tell, and has a nice cozy, friendly feel that larger places wouldn't have. We had the room with the larger En Suite with bath tub, which made my wife happy, a hot bath after a day traveling is very welcome. We were staying in Gretna overnight to attend a wedding and we couldn't have asked for better accommodation. Isabelle was very warm, friendly and welcoming. The room was clean comfortable and spacious and we both slept well. We had a delicious hearty breakfast before we left, just the ticket before a day in The Lakes. The owners were superb clean and comfortable accommandation nothing too much trouble and the advice about eating out places was great their knowledge of all the resturants made sure we knew exactly where to go .Will recommend this B&B to any one who is going to Scotland. Friendly, Value, Helpful, Parking. Close to Gretna Green where you can still get married over "The Anvil" and Gretna (Centre). Close to a retail Outlet (for those who like a bargain). Room was not immense, but this was partly due the large bathroom that had been integrated into it. Good breakfast. The Landlord is so nice, the lady and her husband took good care of us. Especially the next day, gave us a free lift to the town in a heavy rain. The breakfast is perfect, the rooms are clean and cozy.. The most surprising thing is the history of this house! Worth staying! Do recommend!. Warm and friendly establishment ran by the most accommodating of couples. Everything you needed and they seemed intent on making sure we could not move after breakfast by offering more food. The room and en-suite were a nice size and very comfortable. An enjoyable overnight stay. The owners were ever so friendly, thought I had known them for ever. Very helpful and obliging.House was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was lovely. Loads to eat at breakfast. Loved the whole thing. I wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time!. the staff were great isabelle was very welcoming ,,our room was very spacious and clean ,,bed was very comfy and breakfast was great.was a spur of moment decision and was first b&b we seen on net and book ,,so glad we did ,,well definetly be back again. The hosts were friendly and were very flexible to our needs. The bedroom comfortable and the cooked breakfast was a high standard. They provided safe and protected parking for motor bike also parking for my sister and husbands car. We loved, loved this B&B. It is excellent value for money and the home cooked breakfast was delightful. Make sure you order the mushrooms. The room was light and airy and it was a pleasure to stay there. Propritator is an excellent person. Very nice. Helpful with directions, what is the best places to go, what to see, where to eat. She and her husband we polite, clean and friendly so we decided to stay longer. we had an excellent stay at the fernlea hotel. the room was very comfortable and isabella looked after us from the moment we arrived. A superb full breakfast set us up for our journey on to scotland. Great place and the owners are very welcoming. Rooms were clean and breakfast was great. I have stayed here a few times and always check here for availability before anywhere else in the area. Bed was a bit uncomfy, room was a bit cold at times, there was a bit of traffic noise from the A74. Small rooms, noise from nearby motorway. Nothing. nothing. nothing. nothing.
