Margarate was a wonderful host, very friendly and helpful at all times. The room was well serviced, linens clean and fresh towels every day. Breakfast was good with an ample variety. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the university and it was easy to access public transportation. The parking in the rear was an added bonus. I couldn't believe that Margaret runs this place all on her own - and so well. She even carried my heavy bag in for me, as my injured ribs were still very sore. I loved Belgrave, it had everything I needed, including free private parking at the door.
所有评语 » Hostess was very friendly. I arrived early after a long trip and she prepared my room right away while offering me coffee and toast. My single room was small, but clean and had everything I needed. Great stay. Ideal base to get to the University & very close to subway to get into city. Staff friendly & helpful. Nice cooked breakfast & room serviced daily. Private car park at the back of hotel. Excellent customer service from Margaret before & during my short stay. Friendly, informative and very accomodating. Great breakfast choices.Comfortable room. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, free internet, the room is very comfortable with everything you need, value for money, close to the university... We felt very welcome and comfortable. VERY CLOSE TO MY PLACE OF INTEREST (UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW) . Margaret was very helpful, friendly and accommodating as we required early breakfasts over the weekend. Assistance with luggage was given, and the food was good with plenty of it. You got what you paid for - it was clean, warm and basic with a hot shower. No nasty surprises or unwanted frills. Friendly helpful staff. The furnishings are a little " tired". A table for the tea making facility would be helpful as well as more hanging space for clothes. I had a problem with the Royal Glasgow Infirmary wasting several hours of my life for no good result - see my separate review of them for details. Otherwise, Glasgow was fine. Hard to find back entry to hotel car park. Just a tiny thing, we could use two chairs in the bedroom. car park difficult to find. 1 morning the shower had only cold water. Nothing. Nothing. Everything was great and you could walk everywhere. Breakfast room not big enough if everyone came down at same time. The initial impression of the hotel is not good, the front is over run and may inspire some to walk away. But once inside the fears are allayed. The hotel is a little tired. With some money and TLC it could be a find of a boutique hotel. needs some structural updating. The hallway could use better ventilation to prevent old dusty smell. Parking is open and the car next to mine was broken into overnight. I guess this could happen anywhere though. A bit poky room for two persons, traffic noise is heard loud inside. That several of the taxi drivers didn't know where it was?. Nothing. Bathroom needed an extensive makeover. Not much. No facility for debit/credit cards. But if it keeps the cost down I can live with it. all o.k. Room was a bit small. n/a. Nothing in particular. The pictures don't show how run down the hotel is. There were about 10 majorly cracked tiles in the bathroom, toilet didn't flush properly, the sink didn't have a plug, the extractor didn't work, decorating quality very poor, carpet worn out, stains on walls and carpets, and room was just big enough for double bed and suitcases. It needs a lot of work. The car park door was next to the breakfast table which was a bit unpleasant as people were leaving and we were trying to eat. No fruit at breakfast. Shower tempramental and lots of mildew tiles on floor not secure couldn't fill kettle as to big for sink. No real garden to enjoy, very limited car park, only for 5 to7 cars. Furniture was old and cracked. Grumpy bloke sorting breakfast Breakfast basic, dishes warm to cold Coffee (machine, shows they don't care) was tepid Shower cubicle tired, grouting dirty looking. Bed rather hard Bathroom not super-clean. The toilet was hard to flush and the fan in the bathroom did not work, only 1 seat in the room for 3 people décor needed refreshed as breakfast was self service some of the food had been sitting for a while. The hotel was in need of some tlc, and was v tired looking. New bathrooms required. Uncomfortable bed, very tired decor, bathroom falling apart.
