  We were all (including our 4 year old) made to feel very welcome and the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. The room was lovely and very clean. This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in and we would definitely like to return. - Exceptionally friendly and helpful owners, comfortable rooms, excellent food. Very good value.

  Excellent standard of hotel and staff. They kindly upgraded me to a double room with a great view for no extra charge without me asking. Restaurant dinner was excellent and good portions. Very pleasant stay and would visit again. - Size of room, choice and value of meals, comfort of public rooms. The staff were most helpful at all times.

  We booked into Vernon House just about last minute and we were so happy with the place ! Refreshing given that many of the hotels in the area have tired rooms. Price was also very reasonable.
