Good position for the the town centre and coastal walking. Excellent large sea view room with good sized en suite.Copious hot water and a bath with shower.Quiet and well serviced room.Barbara the receptionist was excellent and made us most welcome from the start.She was pleasant and very willing to assist us with the parking vouchers enabling us to park right opposite the hotel for our entire stay at the budget price of £1 per day.The breakfasts were varied and cooked freshly so always arrived .
所有评语 » Parking was easy. They don't have a car park but there is 1 hour parking in front of the hotel and you can buy one or more tickets for 24 hour parking on the street: £1 per day. The staff were very helpful. For example, they were happy to put our mountain bikes in their conference room overnight, to avoid leaving them in our car. The full English breakfast was very high quality. Overall, we felt we'd had a better experience at a lower price than we'd have had at their Nationally-known compet. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was good size (we have the family room with one double and 2 singles) and although backing on to main road the noise although apparent (no double glazing) did not disturb our sleep in any way. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality with the service staff particularly friendly and customer focussed. Location was very good, on beach front and short walk to town and most amenities. Stayed here 3 times, each time our stay has been fine. We always book a seaview room so can only comment on rooms on this side of the hotel. The rooms can be a bit small but for stays of 1 or 2 nights they are more than adequate. The beds are big and comfortable. The hotel is very clean, the staff competent, and the breakfast great. I think the price is fair. Does exactly as it says, no hidden surprises. A comfortable, clean and simple room with a lovely sea view. Space enough for couple and baby with buggy and luggage. A table and comfortable chairs to relax in.in the room. Simple bathroom in which everything was satisfactory. Nice breakfast and professional staff. Situation - liked having a drink outside at the seafront tables, liked the fab breakfast and my husband only eats eggs scrambled, which after the girl undrstood what he meant, they were will to do, and it was freshly made. also enjoyed the abilility to then have morning coffee outside after out breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a little small but warm and clean. Bathroom was a little worn but shower worked well and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and good quality. Well placed for the beach, the town and bars and restaurants. Would definitely use again. All all-round good hotel with a great location. Not the poshest place in the world, and slightly tacky looking from the outside, however it represents good value. The breakfast was good, but I didn't have dinner there, on account of the place being deserted, which was most likely due to the time of year. The hotel looked lovely, inside and out. It was situated in a wonderful location, Marine Parade - sea front! The view from the hotel looking out to the sea was so gorgeous. The room was clean and comfortable, with TV and tea / coffee facilities. It even had a mini-bar fridge! The staff were friendly. This is a good value hotel - it does what it says and I find it hard to think that any body would be dissapointed in staying here (have booked again for a December break) - breakfast was good and well presented and the overall feel of the hotel is pleasant. It was good value. The breakfast was served rather than buffet, and the waitress, Jasmine, was attentive, friendly and a credit to the hotel. The bed was comfortable and I loved having a sea view. It was an excellent hotel, nice room good facilities, the staff were excellent, obviously a great deal of thought had gone into what the guests would want making it a very comfortable stay. Friendly staff, bedrooom was cleaned and tidied everyday, comfortable beds and nice big room for all four of us. Hotel and kitchen was spotless. Breakfast was ten out of ten. Lovely big room, food very good, and the staff always had time to talk to you, and you just walked out the holtel was on the sea front and not far away from the shops. Downstairs was very wellcoming it was bright clean and modern.The evening meal was excellent and so was the breakfast.All the staff were efficent and friendly. We had dinner at the hotel and that was really good, we couldn't get through it all!. cleanliness of the hotel, super food and staff who catered for our every requirement! The dining area which we used on our first evening lacked atmosphere and as we were the only diners it wasn't a relaxing experience.. A bit like eating in a library! We were told afterwards that we could have asked for some music so perhaps that was our problem...maybe it would be better to provide it first then turn it down if anyone objects rather than the quietness which didn't encourage the diners to stay in the Hotel.Most seemed to go elsewhere. Apart from the rain ;) the only minor downside is the parking. The hotel can provide a one day pass for a pound which is great value and if you can find a space on the seafront (which we did early on day 2) it is great if you don't mind a short walk. The unloading bay helps enormously and if all else fails the ncp at £2.50 a day is available about 10 minutes walk away. Single glazed windows so room was a little noisy with cars going by, not too much of a disturbance as living in South East London we're somewhat immune to traffic noise. When we arrived, we found the receptionist very cold, she did try to explain to us the parking placves, but it was quite hard to work out. in fact you can park anywhere on the sea - side if the sign looks like she had on the paper, and you pay £1. But heard others also confused. Found the tv and fridge didnt work, but when asked, should have turned each of then on, on the side of the tv and at the back of the fridge. No complaints at all. They weren't rude, but the staff seemed devoid of any warmth. Check in time is 14:00 could do with being earlier - Also due to people not settleing the bill you are unable to charge drinks ect to your room. Problem with curtain in bedroom but this has been dealt with. Nothing. The main door was into the breakfast area, so the gust of wind every time the door opened blew serviettes etc around, which was a bit annoying. Lack of lounge type area with soft armchairs etc. Tone down the message on the mini bar about bad behaviour of guests and why they don't stock it anymore.Also the note on reception about paying in advance for the hotel again because of bad behaviour of guests not paying. I was quite happy to pay in advance/not have mini bar, but the notes created a bad impression and made me wonder where on earth I was coming to when in fact I had a very good experience of the hotel and it was very nice. Most of the sea front hotels lack parking facilities, parking permits are available it's just a case of finding an empty space. Noise was heard outside, which is expected, could do with double glazed windows. Also did hear another family above us running about quite alot, so maybe a polite notice in family rooms to be considerate to other guests. The bedrooms were tired and dated and the bathroom could have been cleaner. Parking at night - real problem at times, but not hotel's fault!. once on the second floor, our rooms were accessed by a number of short narrow stairways which was a bit tricky with a baby buggy. Thin walls in bedroom. Carpet in main thorough fare needs replacing as tape indicated ...only thing which let it down ..will b back . the only criticism was that I felt cold in the bedroom. Check in could be a little earlier - And the bar could stay open longer!. The staff at the reception wasn't very friendly. the parking was a hit and miss job but that's not really anything to do with the hotel. My daughter had a single room, which, although clean and comfortable, was very cramped. The heating in our room was turned off which made things a bit uncomfortable since we were travelling with a baby. It took 12 hrs for our room to warm up :(. No parking at the hotel but were allowed to park on the road at discount. Had to leave hotel on second night due to water damage on second night. Lights flashing outside room window. Heating up too high especially in the enclosed corridor outside room 127. Windows -1 sealed 1 opened only a little. Stayed in room 229 which was very nice but would have liked a slightly large bathroom. Bar selection poor for a real ale fan and when dining asked for wine list to be told they do not have one. Also the 'Modern' decor in public areas is horrible and basic feeling, no wonder the restaurant was unpopular. This hotel has no soul!!!!. coffee not very good, too weak. The only one very small thing you only had one knife at breakfast so didn't have a clean one for toast to trivial to bother us really. Bathroom shower was bad with old fashioned equipment and didn't work well water went from boiling to cold within seconds. Completely puzzled about the parking permit system. Samll point but felt we could have self served cereals and drinks at breakfast time to saveguests and staff a bit of time. Also staff could have brought toast later to the tables rather than at the very start of breakfast as by the time we had eaten main dish the toast was no longer hot. Nothing. no negative comment to make. Rooms were on the small side.
