Very warm welcome and great attention to detail. Gary made us feel very at home and shared lots of tips and ideas for making the most of our visit. This is a lovely arts and crafts B&B. Very convenient location for Canterury, Folkestone and Dover Castle. Delicious breakfasts with plenty of choice. The home-cooked smoked salmon and eggs were a real treat. Great value for money and a real home from home. We liked to eat at the nearby Fox pub for evening meals - just a 15-20 minute walk away. .
所有评语 » Outstanding on all fronts. We Stayed for one night only on a short weekend trip to Dover to visit castle and cliffs. Gary was very welcoming, and offered advice on where to eat locally and where best to visit cliffs and was a perfect host. Superb choice for breakfast and lovely clean and tidy guest house. Would not even consider looking elsewhere for overnight stay when passing through Dover in future. 10/10. Gary has made an art form of his b & b, showing a passion for making his house look beautiful with some fine furniture and attention to detail, for giving an outstanding welcome to guests and a willingness to be flexible to fit in with their needs. He got up to make us an earlier and quite delicious breakfast, for example and didn't get upset when we left with the keys. Would definitely stay again. This is a lovely Art Deco home that is beautifully furnished and stunning décor. Lovely comfy bed and just loved my bathroom. Gary the owner is a very caring, eloquent, polite man with great sense of humour. Gary makes you feel very at home and spoils you. He gives great suggestions on where to go and what to do and helped with my plans and organising my next stay. Gary was beyond amazing!! The house is absolutely gorgeous and the food was amazing! Gary was so polite, friendly and welcoming! I will be returning to the Crabble house for sure! The room was amazing and if you had any questions or needed help, Gary was there at the drop of a hat!! Beyond amazing!! If you are in Dover you must stay here!!. loved the hotel. The owner is a friendly helpful hardworking man, who makes sure you have a good stay. His breakfast cannot be beaten, such a choice. I love Crabbie House it is homely and beautiful, Sadly we went for a family funeral so not for holiday. Crabbie House is ideal for visiting Canterbury and many other places. The guy running the place was very helpful and friendly about everything from your needs accomadation wise to knowledge about the local vacinity. He also allowed me to have my pet labrador in the room with me. The breakfast in the morning was also ample and very good. It was just what I needed during my short stay. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So friendly & accomodating. The guest house was immaculate & the mulberry room in which we stayed was so comfortable. Have already recommended it to others & know they have already booked for later in the year. Will definetely be staying again. Our compliments to the owner. Warm welcome and clean, comfortable accommodation. Excellent breakfast included. Friendly pub with reasonable bar meals within walking distance. Both B & B and pub dog-friendly. An easy drive to Dover port from the B & B. So much nicer than budget chain hotels for an overnight stop or extended stay. Gorgeous place, Good choice of freshly prepared breakfast, Dog Friendly. Host is lovely & provides a warm & friendly welcome. We had a lovely comfortable spacious room and the bed was great. Great location for both ferry & tunnel. If passing this way again, would definitely stay here again. Our host Gary was very friendly and made us feel welcome and relaxed from the beginning. He was informative and helpful with places to dine etc. the breakfast he cooked us was superb and the dining area was excellent. We would recommend this B&B to anyone who were traveling to this area. Good facilities in the bedroom with choice of warm drinks and biscuits , also water.Ensuite with shower. Parking available. The welcome was really friendly and casual, loved the location, just at the edge of town, fabulous backdrop, this man has spent loads of time making fabulous choices for this hotel, it's absolutely beautiful and totally spotlessly clean...loved it!!!. We had friendly help before and on our late arrival owing to problems occurring before our departure from home. Gary helped my husband by repairing his glasses for him. The decor is very much to my taste and the garden is on its way to excellence. Very friendly reception. Room was large and so was the bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Great cooked breakfast. This guest house is only 2 kilometres from city centre of Dover with their magical white cliffs and imposing castle. Thoroughly recommend. Beautiful older style property in a excellent location, great decor and wonderfully maintained.Gary the proprietor was very welcoming and helpful.We were leaving at 7am and a lovely packed breakfast was provided for our early departure. No complaints whatsoever.. Nothing - just would have preferred not to rush off. There is nothing not to like at this B & B. There wasn't a single thing we didn't love about the Crabble house!!. I don't really like Dover it has changed over the years and not for the better like most towns today. But Canterbury is not far and other places so that is good. No real complaints, except to say that the bathroom and toilet was communal, not within the room I stayed in, but it wasn`t a problem for me at all. We only had one night. Nothing. Car parking is mostly on street, although in a parking lane. Breakfast did not have butter, but a substitute. Can be difficult to find - check instructions!. Nothing. it's a big Victorian house which is difficult to heat, if you are adverse to having a heater in the room and snuggling under the duvet in winter, then choose a modern hotel, but it is a charming place in a great location. Nothing, it was perfect. Not applicable. Finding Crabble House was a bit difficult. Now we know to put in River to the address. Can't fault any part of it. nothing. Not all sat navs seem to locate it, but one phone call to the friendly owner sorted it. Had the single room with private separate toilet and separate washbasin/bath room next door. Did not bump into anyone so a minor issue and inconvenience. Room facing a main road but didn't bother me too much. Overall excellent value for money. Loved everything!. Not a real problem, but first time visitors should be careful hw they programme their satnav. Ours took us to the same address in Dover!. If I am really being picky the shower lacked a little power but it didn't bother me that much. Nothing. Couldn,t find it sat nav took us to derelict shop/ Did not put in Dover River as did not know what it meant. I was a single traveller and my room was not ensuite although I did have a separate bathroom and toilet which was my own it meant I had to out into the hall to use them which was a bit inconvenient. It's on an A road and single room is on road side and I am particularly noise sensitive. Probably wouldn't bother normal people, but I did need to close double glazing and it was a very hot night. No complaints at all. Nothing I can think of. Dover is not a pretty city. but you can reach the ferry very good or explore the surrounding area from there.
