We stayed at this hotel on our final night of a 5 night tour around the Scottish highlands and was the best in terms of staff friendliness, room size, great shower, good food in the bar next door, we certainly did not suffer any inconvenience as a result of the current restoration of the hotel restaurant. We had three rooms, the family room being a huge room with plenty of space for kids and parents. The employees were very kind. There was a fire in May and although the staff have done well at clean up, there is still a lingering smell of smoke in the main building..we had to get air spray to mask the smell. Breakfast was served in the adjoining pub, a full English or continental..fine but not fab. Good for seeing Stirling and Bourne Castles.
