Relaxed, checked in, had a meal at KFC, slept and checked out after an excellent breakfast. Very comfortable mattress and quiet room. very comfortable and welcoming. simple, easy, friendly, value.

cleanliness and helpful. It had been upgraded since the last time we stayed there. Our room looked as though we were the first to use it since the upgrade. It was excellent. breakfast was great staff were very good.The breakfast was good and the staff were genuinely helpful when our car wouldn't start - we were very grateful -thank you.Quietness of room even though close to motorway. Stayed there a few times now.pleasant staff, good parking, various food outlets on site.All rooms not updated - including budget..Great value for money. Breakfast much improved this time, based on previous visits.Nice self service continental breakfast. Cleanliness and pet friendly. proximity to motorway. Excellent breakfast. Basic room for a basic price, but was very clean, and comfortable. Shower was good, water was nice and hot even in the afternoon.that is easy to find if you are going towards Preston. the very special offer that day and the proximity to the M6. Cheap and easy location. Close to services and off motor way. Clean, ok room.leaveing. not alot. I feel an explanation how to get to hotel from North might be of help. The bar was not open , also we could not have breakfast the following morning as the restaurant was having a new carpet fitted. It did not concern us though. yes the only let down was that we ordered a non smoking room, only to find that the room smelled very strongly of smoke. I was advised that room 93 was a no smoking room when i spoke to the reception staff, They were very helpful and changed the bedding asap.We were disappointed about the evening menu .Room needed refurbishing.In our particular room, the noise from the radiators and heating kept us awake at night. Now that all rooms are non-smoking, it is possible to be given a room that has been used by a smoker. This happened to me and the room allocated at first smelled badly of smoke. The staff were very accomodating, and fortunately another room was available.Noise from a neighbouring room.some refurbishment of rooms now overdue. Bathroom old/shabby. Slippery bathroom floor.dated from outside. The smell in the room and the decrepit state of the room and bathroom. Room was smelly. !st room strong smell of smoke (ordered non smoking room) Moved- 2nd room remote for tele not there, couldn't change channels manually. Moved 3rd room ok. Could not get a meal ,had to go over to KFC. Took ages to get a drink at the bar, girl on reception too busy booking people in and barmaid had supposedly gone to get change.Too basic. Bathroom was rather tired and only a squirt of shower gell. All the tables were covered with with dirty plates and food when we went down for breakfast, we had to clear one ourselves and look around for clean cutlery, not good enough. Breakfast was luke warm but filled a hole. Kettle in both rooms did not work. Basically not enough staff on during our stay and the hotel was very busy.it was scruffy run down the room smelt of smoke despite being non smoking and refurbished and it was just about signposted. The temperature outside was -8 and there was no heating in the room atall and all I got when I spoke to staff about it was a half heartedapology with a "bothered!" Shrug. I should not have been surprised whenI was wating to register 2 other guest were complaining about the lackof heating to.
