I loved the location, short walking distance to town centre, University, Railway station. I loved it's quirky creaky floors, wooden beams etc. It was clean and comfortable, lovely soft bed with crisp linen, tv wi-fi tea/cpffee facilities. Staff were helpful and friendly. When I returned in the evening the pub was packed with pub quizzers deep in thought but I was able to relax in my room in comfort and barely heard them.
所有评语 » Lovely old building, staff very friendly, helpful offered to carry my bag up to my room....was shown where breakfast takes place and into my room I was in room 3, which shares a wall with the kitchen (albeit below me) and there was quite a bit of noise from staff radio...I spoke to reception who quickly and efficiently sorted out the problem - couldn't ask for more!. Good value for money when compared to the rest of the city. Staff were really accomodating, special requests not too much trouble, and breakfast was great. Although they have been described as "rustic" the room was great and quite classy. As a converted Mill it's very diferent. Bar downstairs is also really good and has a good menu. Our room at the Riverside Inn was a lovely, relaxing and spacious. The old building gave character with the beams and high celings (we were on the top floor). The staff were very welcoming and willing to help; overall my boyfriend and I loved our stay here and would definately recommend and go back to ourselves. =). lovely building packed full of period features. Cosy, atmospheric, beautiful view over slow river. sensitively furbished bedroom, with original beams, very authentic. Food was good (not quite hot enough though) - staff were helpful although there possibly wasn't enough staff about - not sure why. Staff made you feel very welcome. From the greeting upon arrival to the owner checking my car in the morning to see if I had got a ticket as machine was not working in the car park. The building itself has been beautifully converted from a mill to a hotel.the rooms are spacious,well furnished and very comfortable and the staff are fantastic,as is the food. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. The extras such as shampoos were good quality. everyone was very nice. Friendly helpful staff, spacious room, generous breakfast with good choice and personal service - ticked all the boxes. Lovely character of pub and brilliant staff made us feel very welcome and the beer was good to. the style of the room, the size of the room, friendly staff,. Clean, comfortable room. Good breakfast. Nothing! Sound does carry throught the rooms and you can hear all the creaks so if you are a light sleeper it may not be the best for you but personally I loved it!. Disappointed in the food menu, but that might be because it was Xmas menu?, as my colleague said he had in the past eaten well there. Bed squeaked every time you moved but very comfortable otherwise. Old building, very noisy plumbing etc, bed comfortable but sheet too small, and every floor board creaks in this very old building. Nothing. The room was very hot and it was impossible to make it coler by opening a window (too high) ot switiching on aircon. bathroom needs a bit of a spruce up. I was cold in the room and the heater was a bit load to keep on through the night. only thing wrong though. Linen did not fit bed!. Breakfasts were good but pub food could have been better. Our room was not serviced - we were given fresh towels each day - but the bins were not emptied, used cups were not replaced on the first night, the bed was not made at all during our stay and the en suite was not cleaned. Food was not very hot for dinner. The whole pub and room looked like they needed a good clean eg very soiled carpet in the breakfast room. Slightly expensive Noisy plumbing. Only a high level window in vaulted room, so unable to see out. Fittings getting worn. Staff coud be more friendly and initiate greetings, etc.
