  Staff very friendly, location was excellent. Found the room very comfortable and clean. I wish I could have stayed longer. Best breakfast I have ever had - Lovely setting,staff helpful and friendly,food excellent and dog friendly. Lovely relaxing place to stay and only a 10 minute walk from Grasmere.

  Very helpful owner who was friendly and welcoming. The inn has a lovely ambiance and situated in a fairly quiet part of the Lake District, but yet everything was is so amenable. Also, not forgetting some beautiful and challenging walks. Good menu with good food, (recommend the seafood platter). Two real ales on from local breweries. Relaxing hotel for get away weekend.

  This spectacularly appointed building is set slightly above the village of Grasmere. Our welcome was warm and genuine. The room was basic, (what we expected), but suited the purpose of a clean cosy place to stay at the end of an adventurous day. The breakfast was fantastic, as were the packed lunches and evening meals. The location is just sublime... 别人怎么说 » and peaceful. We will be going back again. - We travelled with a small child and were made to feel very welcome, with the travel cot set up for us on arrival. The hostel is a lovely old building in a stunning setting and a two-minute walk from the nice shops and cafes in the village. We booked dinner at short notice and were very pleased with the quality and price of the food. I can't fault anything!
