A traditional pub serving excellent food. The batter on my fresh haddock was divine - the best I've ever tasted. The busy restaurant, on two levels, is very popular with locals and no wonder! The refurbished rooms with tasteful décor are modern, clean and comfortable, and well-appointed. You can watch TV in the bath but it's not compulsory! Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. There are only five rooms, so book early!

Staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly.
Rooms are well appointed with everything you need. TV with loads of channels, tea/coffee, iron, hair-dryer, alarm clock and phone.
Bathrooms usually have bath with shower over but I have had a room with just the shower which is fine for me. Towels are really big and fluffy which earns brownie points from me.
Bar area is comfy and bar staff lovely. Had lunch here which was very tasty altho a bit pricey for a sandwich
I only used restaurant for breakfast

The hosts, James and Maria were most hospitable and made us feel welcomed. The room was large, very comfortable and very quiet. The included continental breakfast was varied and excellent quality and the optional hot breakfast was delicious. The townhouse is a comfortable 20 minute walk through a lovely extensive park adjoining a river to the centre of Cardiff.
