  All the staff were really friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic. We ate there every night of our stay. The decor of the inn was understated and stylish with lots quirky little rooms and low ceilings. Our room was spacious, the bed large and comfortable and the wet room/shower room was very stylish. The bathrooms were fantastic, beds really comfortable and huge! Staff were helpful and had alot of time for their customers, which is a good attribute. Would certainly stay again.

  The Effingham was beautiful and spacious -- large room overlooking beautiful grounds, like a country estate. The regular-size bus with luggage racks was excellent to transport us from the Gatwick Train Station and back to the Gatwick Airport next morning for only 2.50 pounds per person per trip.
