Jane who runs the Forest Tea House was a lovely and friendly woman, we loved her! She inspired us and made us feel more than welcome. The breakfast in the morning was amaazing too! bacon and eggs were cooked to perfection and lovely coffee to set us off for the long day of walking around the beautiful new forest. the beds were unbelievably comfy and we had a wicked shower! We couldnt have chosen a nicer and more rewarding place to stay. We both would definitely reccommend this to anyone coming.
所有评语 » The host Jane is the most caring, warm and friendly person you would meet. She made us all feel welcome and cared for in a unique way. Jane has a unique and special gift in making starngers feel welcome and cared for. The rooms were prepared in the same warm and loving manner as was the most fabulous breakfast. The location was perfect with new forest ponies all around and a freindly pig called Gertie across the road! We LOVED everything about our stay. The Forest Tea House is located in the middle of New Forest - beautiful English countryside, about 3-5 minutes walking to the centre of the small village. We liked the house, our cozy room, comfy beds, hospitality and friendliness of Jane, calm atmosphere and good sleep at night. At the back of the house there is a shop with various cider home-made products and there is also a cozy cafeteria as the part of the house. The English breakfast was delicious. Jane was an excellent hostess and after chatting for a short while it felt like we had known one another for ages. The room was spacious and clean and the full English breakfast couldn't be faulted - the continental also looked excellent. There is plenty of on site parking, views of the surrounding countryside and 2 decent pubs within 5 minutes walk. Our only regret is not staying longer and having the time to enjoy the numerous walks in the vicinity. Jane was an amazing hostess, incredibly warm and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend B&B stay in the New Forest. Comfy beds, parking, ensuite room etc right next to the Cider Farm. The breakfast was lovely and you really felt like you were in the countryside. Burley is a lovely unique town, there are no street lights though so bring a torch for the 5 min walk to the pubs in the winter!. Jane is a wonderful hostess and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable (even putting Halloween treats in our room for the kids). Both cooked and continental breakfasts were really good. Beds were very comfortable. Fab location... you can walk out the back and be on the heath, or along any number of paths and be in the forest. Gertie the pig and her piglets were a big bonus for the kids. The location is perfect (5 mins walk from village centre), in the middle of the New Forest. Lovely house, clean rooms, everything you need. There can not be a better host than Jane: she prepares the best english breakfast, and has an eye for everyone. We travel with 2 small kids and she even prepared special breakfasts for them. We absolutely loved our stay and will certainly return. We were in the bungalow adjacent to the main house, very private and ideal, we were made to feel very welcome and we had a very relaxed stay. Jane was an excellent host she was always around if needed but not in your face a very lovely lady. We had lovely breakfast each day I had the Continental option my husband the full English nothing was too much trouble highly recommended!. We enjoyed our stay very much and we will recommend highly. Jane was very friendly helpful and informative and made our stay extremely pleasant. Strongly recommend to anybody looking for a clean comfortable B&B within local distance to pubs, THE CIDER FARM!! and beautiful countryside with lovely walks. All in all very relaxin stay would go there again. We booked a triple room for 3 adults. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities available. The bathroom was small but adequate. Jane was great - friendly, helpful and provided a good breakfast. Easy off-street parking. Ponies right outside the property. Short walk into the village and walking trails. We were given an extremely warm welcome by Jane and enjoyed chatting to her and her other guests over breakfast. The full English was magnificent and the continental was beautifully presented. The location was charming and ideal for exploring the area. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to recommend FTH. Good rural location complete with ponies, very welcoming, pubs within staggering distance, descent breakfast. I stayed so that I could get to an interview. Breakfast served especially early for me but I had to hurry. I would stay here again and allow myself more time to enjoy the B&B and New Forest area. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here,after a lovely time last year we booked to come back again this year. You couldn't ask for a nicer,more lovely host than Jane. Nothing is too much trouble. She's very friendly and approachable as a host should be,and she has 2 adorable dogs! We will be back next year!. A wonderful place to stay, Jane is lovely, very helpful and a pleasure to stay with. Very good location just a few minutes walk from village centre , and with a footpath next to the house leading , in a couple of minutes , to a great area of open heathland . The location was perfect, plenty of walks, lovely village up the road with ponies wandering around. We stayed in a clean and comfortable room and had a lovely breakfast the following morning. Very relaxing. Jane is the best host you could ever want. She makes that you want to come back to the forest tea house. Breakfast is great. It's really magnificient that the horses walk all over the place. Bathroom not very clean Cat in breakfast room walking over table. The bed mattress was like sleeping on a water bed it had sunk, sprung and well bedded in. bed needed re fixing together creaked every turn or move. noisy cockerels from 2.30am non stop. Had room above the boiler very noisy like a running car noise again from early hours non stop. bathroom plumbing is saniflo flow very noisy. only got 3 hours sleep.
