The friendliness of staff, the excellent service, the quietness and comfort of the room, the food and the charming setting of the hotel. The room was lovely, spacious and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable lounges and restaurant.It was a beautiful setting, very relaxing. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food in the restaurant was excellent.

Widbrook Grange was a total surprise. Our room was spacious, immaculate and comfortable. It had everything. I did not want to leave. The lounges were cosy, the restaurant inviting and the food brilliant.We loved sitting in the beautiful gardens, drinking tea and relaxing. Service, location and room very good, however pricey.location of room in a block in the grounds. garden with deck chairs a nice touch. The outstanding courtesy and charm of the hotel staff. The recreation areas are charming and the garden lovely. The food is excellent too. The peace and quiet of the location, staff very friendly. Not too formal. Nice friendly staff wishing to make you feel comfortable. They also did a grand job of my niece's wedding. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely setting and layout.Open and easy atmosphere - easy to feel 'at home'. Excellent Restaurant - high quality food at reasonable prices. Inclusive breakfast quality very good. Hotel not too big, friendly staff, nice surroundings, nice breakfast. The food was good, except for breakfast on the second day which was burnt!. The hotel was excellent, I would recommend it to anyone. lack of organisation at breakfast. The curtains in the bedroom are very fine so that the room is in broad daylight as soon as the light is in the sky. I don't think it would cost the hotel very much to install blackout roller blinds (for optional use according to taste). Swimming pool was not heated enough!. Bed - creaked with any movement at all and kept waking up, the only negative point about a lovely hotel. Showers in bathrooms poor - also pool changing arrangements inadequate. Swimming pool was cold, Dinner was nothing special. heating in our room did not work and limited hot water.Dreadful cooked breakfast! Dodgy floral decor in room. hotel could have been warmer. Plumbing needs updating - shower was very weak and there was insufficient hot water for a bath in the late afternoon on both days. Bathroom facilities were poor given the cost of the room. The wall paper in the bedroom was peeling off, the rooms needed dusting to remove the cobwebs, the four poster bed would have been better if the rose wasn't coming away, and the sheets were holed and for some reason when the bed was changed my second pillow disappeared. The food was poor, the shower in the room didn't work properly and it was overpriced for what it was.
