The staff were very friendly; we were greeted with a warm welcome and a hot drink while the hotel owner, Kim, sorted out our reservation. We were also offered a discount if we stay with them for another trip in the future, which is much appreciated. The room was small (which we expected as we booked the "small double room"!) but comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. The location of the hotel was excellent - right opposite the beach and a short walk from the central pier. A lovel.

Rooms were lovely, small but very cosy and when all your wanting is a bed for the night it's perfect! Right in the middle of the promenade so perfect location with everything in short walking distance. Would highly recommend the hotel!!. Amazing quirky staff made this beautiful Victorian themed hotel what it is-a fabulous place to stay!Gorgeous old fashioned rooms,wonderfully comfy beds and fantastic sea views to be had here in a very central location for all amenities. We wouldn't go anywhere else now-this place was a real find,an absolute gem!. Kim and Paula were great hosts and who could forget the lovely Nadine behind the bar! 5 lads came for a messy weekend and our banter was subtly appreciated and we spent a lot of hours in the bar with the girls! Accommodation basic but all you need for a night out and great value for money!. We were a stag party of 11. The gramsford is well located on the front. The manchester pub a few doors up was a great laugh. For what we paid this hotel was excellent value for money. Rooms were clean and staff friendly and patient. We had a great time and I wouldnt hesitate to stay again. Excellent location. Friendly staff. Our room was clean and compact - just what we needed for our 1 night stay. We will visit again. There is some low level restoration going on, in order to bring the hotel back to its original splendor, but this did not impact at all on our stay. Based on the sea-front next door but 1 to a family pub offering good meal deals which was very handy for us. Polite and helpful staff...basic rooms which were reflected in the price, all in all a comfortable stay and will be returning next year. the guests were really nice to get along with...... I stayed at the sea view room and it was brilliant in the morning when looking out of the window, the showers were good at well, and clean toilet. The staff were very friendly, they e-mailed us the evening prior to our stay, to enquire if we had any requirements, which I thought was a nice touch. I would recommend this hotel, excellent value. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. We were offered to upgrade our room to a seaside view. Very comfortable night sleep and located in the middle of the Tower and the pleasure beach. The hotel was in a good location. Right on the seafront. About 20 min walk to the Pleasure Beach, 5 min walk to Central Pier and 10 min walk to the Tower. Liked the rooms. Basic but had everything we needed. I liked the location, very central and on front of Blackpool. Great prices. Had wi-fi. Excellent, friendly service provided by Kim. Awesome drinks prices and nothing is too much trouble. I also liked the homeliness of the b&b, and i liked all the ornamental objects that were there (i.e. the cabinet full of silver). The lady I met was brilliant, she gave me information of what I needed and was very helpful with the questions I had also the room I had was lovely I woke up to sea view. As long as you don't go expecting the ritz, for what you pay, you can't fault this place. Parking can be an issue, unless you have a blue badge. The radiator/pipes in our room sounded like an aeroplane landing every 20 minutes!! very noisy!!. not much really bad to say apart from 2 soft pillows in bed HOWEVER my personal choice. The hotel is going through a refurbishment and the reception area was in the middle of being re-decorated, which could not really be helped but did look a bit of an eyesore, and I'm sure will be finished very soon. Room was abit small but we did ask for the small double room! Needs updating but we was told it was being decorated!. Only 2 power points in our room which were high up and had to be searched for. No hair drying facilities had to borrow one from another guest. Shower head kept swinging around, water pressure was quite poor and temperature constantly changed. It seemed as though they were starting to redecorate but we didn't really bother as it was still clean and tidy. Nothing to say here - we enjoyed every minute of our stay - Jose is still talking about it, and my granddaughter is asking if we can come in the summer AS WELL as at illuminations time - hope we can manage it. Iris. Nothing really it suited our needs fine for our trip. For price couldn't complain at all. nothing . Nothing. Breakfast finishes at 9.30........I like a lie in when on holiday. No near-by parking. There was no hair dryer on room. Didnt dislike anything. Only downside is no lift but not an essential to my stay. ,blackpool needs a revamp. the time we were there, the house was being redecorated. i didn't like the fact i didn't have much of a view, also i only had two very thin pillows, also my bathroom door didn't shut properly. Nothing was terrible but I could hear everyone walking up and down the stairs and people closing doors that was hard to sleep in. Also if I didn't have the sea view room I wouldn't have liked it as the other rooms were small. The windows were old and made a whistling noise from the wind. However we were informed aboit this at check in. Quality of rooms a disappointment, no wardrobe in our room, which was classed as superior. Also a small room for a double. No way of making a hot drink after 23.00hrs and in family rooms no tv for kids to watch before bed. no car park. Tea tray with kettle on it,right at side of bed,dangerous!. Didn't dust well. We upgraded for extra money and still had 4 flights of stairs. Also stripped walls in main entrance. Staff weren't around in the.morning had to leave keys in door room. Got accused and overcharged would not recommend. Most of the staff struggle to speak English. Room wasn't very clean, breakfast was awful especially for £6 per person, save your money and eat at a cafe. The staff stare at you when you walk in Tea and coffee facilities available but no kettle Bed is on a slant Only two sockets in room Bathroom door broken TV on wall can't be moved so redundant Very run down. Blood on pillows, yellow stained towels the 2 he/shes running the place constantly swearing and arguing, basement rooms were inhabitable, dirty dusty rooms upstairs, then I found they took £50 out of my bank without any reason, did not inform me or give me any reason why, emailed them no response, will be taking the matter to the police.... Disgusting... Avoid at all costs. Tacky, dirty appearance. Room cheap looking and dirty. Very noisy (staff) Paper thin walls, you could here all bathroom activity. The whole experience put a downer on our break.
