This is a very interesting historic house . It is right next to the wonderful Beverley Minster so very handy for a wedding we were attending. Breakfast was beautifully cooked served in elegant surroundings. The owner was very helpful in trying to get our car started when the battery appeared to be flat. There is an excellent pub the Tiger close by which had rustic live music on the Saturday. Parking fine with the permit provided. Beverley Saturday market was lively.

My son liked the new dvd/tv in his room - with a choice of dvds. Great location next to the Minister a few minutes walk to the centre of town. The cooked to order breakfast was nice. We will visit again. Nice place . Excellent value . a little bit Fawlty towers but in a good way .Great location next to the Minster . For the price I really think you can't go wrong . Excellent breakfast. Loved the sunken bath and spacious bathroom Central location, with access to shops and eateries. Bells and music of the Minster. The price, friendly lady at front desk, kettle in room, close to relatives we were visiting, love the town/city, love the Minster if not the "bells". Excellent bath/shower: comfortable bed. Frig in room and table and other necessities to bring in food and eat in the room. staff were excellent, room was well worth the money and breakfast was good. I obtained the impression that the owner and asistant had only just started the business and were on a steep learning curve. I wish them every succsess. It is right next to the Minster as it says. Bathroom is nice. Breakfast was pretty good. The location was great and the provision of a parking pass was a nice touch. the only thing nice about this place was the lady who runs it. Great location and free parking permit. Spacious bathroom, Fridge in room. Location. location. Nothing. leaving. No pepper at breakfast. The shower temperature a bit variable. Nothing. Shower was broken , but was allowed one in an empty room so not a problem . Traffic noise, the Minster bells, need more staff and a bigger breakfast room if they are going to offer a hot breakfast (but the breakfast was good). No decent brown bread at breakfast. Inaccurate information so I couldn't access Wifi: I expect I could have got the information had a pursued the proprietor but I was tired. the reviews I read about the place, there are some fussy people about. Nothing significant. access to the room up steep stairs. The Minster bell chimes. The Parking. Pillows way too soft and weak. Minster bells are a real novel experience but take some earplugs if you're a light sleeper!. Disorganised, small details let it down, slightly irritated by owner re- asking questions after party clearly stated answers, the whole place would be a star higher if the small details were sorted. Bathroom 'grubby'. Access to groundfloor external room a bit of a stroll throught the undergrowth. taking monies off my account before we arrived. Windows didn't open on the hottest day of the year, and it hadn't been cleaned. There was still an old tea bag in the pot! I was aware that building work was going on, but the bedroom was dusty and un-hoovered. Surly reception. Initial shortage of towels and toilettries. Bedroom smaller than needed because an entrance hall has been added instead of just one door. The room seemed like more of a bedsit than a suite, with too much furniture crammed in,as well as a full size fridge next to the bed. the luxurious touch of having a flatscreen tv in the bathroom would have been nicer if the tv actually worked. during my stay, I didn't meet or see a single member of staff, so was unable to get a reciept for my stay. it was awful it was dirty and overpriced wont be staying again. The staff were ignorant and un available. The room was dirty with a thick layer of dust everywhere and lots of stains which had had no attempt of cleaning. Cobwebs, sheets not very clean, Not enough seating room for breakfast although we were asked what time we wanted breakfast, we had to go away and come back later. We did not bother complaining at the time as we were only there one night and we didn't want to spend our time arguing with the owner. organised chaos, but got away with it. breakfast, beds pushed together to make it look like a double. Building work, out side dinning room. service breakfast room dusty. Only Used soap in the bathroom Only one towel per couple Bathroom door needs fixing Staff attitude needs improving Entrance needs lighting at night. Very disappointed.Needs a lot of money spending on the place. very shabby furniture and bedding.Our room and bathroom needed a good clean. Garden very overgrown and untidy.How this place can function under 4 star rating is beyond me.This is a rip off. owner swearing at guests,the rudest man ive ever met.rooms not cleaned,dirty sheets still on bed from previous,breakfast unfit for consumption - nobody at breakfast ate it,worst place we and every other guest we spoke to have stayed.needs a visit from environmental health.
