Very quiet. Slept well. I stayed before in Bath city centre hotels and the noise from the street made it hard to sleep full nights. But it was great at the university of Bath. It is a bit out of the city, but then again, it is quiet. Also has great facilities on-site: supermarket, cashpoints, post office desks, bars, etc. Room was larger than expected - despite having booked a single I got a small double bed which was lovely. Breakfast was also good and while the uni is out of town the bus runs every ten or twenty minutes from around 7.30 to midnight so getting around wasn't a problem. For the price it's a bargain.
所有评语 » The proximity to the Bath University Campus, the beautiful woods in the environment, the great breakfasts at Wessex Restaurant, the excellent security, the convenient desk and workspace in the room, the kettle and tea in the room, the availability of a kitchen for preparing food if need be. Low price, and good location. Rooms were very similar in layout and standard to other good Universities, making it very easy to settle in. Very helpful staff (we think it was a member of the cleaning team who was very helpful, showing us to our room and explaining how the keycards worked). Staff was friendly. Laundry facilities available by the room (however you had to travel to a store for laundry soap-didn't know until after we purchased a laundry card). Very close to bus station, very easy (about a 10 min bus ride to the city center area). Access to a kitchen. Excellent value for money. Clean rooms with tea & coffee facilities, own fridge, sink, complete with towels and shampoo etc.. All unexpected. Breakfast include also additional perk! Good showers. Lovely staff. 24Hr library!! Convenient location for town. Excellent value. Extremely nice room. Much better than the hotels rooms I booked witch costs even more. Although it seems a bit far from city centre. But the 18 bus takes you there in no time witch costs 1.20 one way. The cheapest fare there ever is in UK. University sleeping accomodation was of a good standard, better than some small hotels. For me, staying alone, at least as good as some Holiday Inn Express hotels in UK. Polden Court, where I stayed, was on the edge of the campus and in a quiet location. The quality of the facilities is very good You are staying in the accom of the first yearstudents. It is basic, but the single room was what we wanted There is a breakfast included ,this is big, a cafe resturant, hot cooked and cereal Very good. Great rooms, really well sized, a lot bigger than other hotels we've stayed in. Very clean rooms and Bathrooms. Excellent staff, with one of the security guards helping us immensely with finding the car park and rooms. Breakfast was brilliant. Good, clean, straightforward accommodation at a reasonable price. Have already recommended to friends. We particularly enjoyed breakfast!! Bus service good, but could be more frequent on a Saturday evening (a comment, not a complaint!). i jusj needed a place to sleep at night as i was working in bath really good value but did get a parking ticket as the staff omitted to give me a permit which i had paid for in the process of an appeal that i could do without. Great access to Bath town centre on buses. Great accomidation with the added benefit of use of the large kitchen area, great for making own food to help save the pennies. Felt safe on campus and everyone very friendly. Whilst its away from the town centre, it's good value for the money. Basic accommodation but comfortable for the time we needed. Good hike into town if your after a good walk with views. The location was superb, the accommodation ideal, the staff friendly and helpful, the food outlets/bars very good, All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience for myself and my friends. I thought the quality was great, considering the fantastically reasonable price. I would certainly recommend to friends and family wanted a short low budget stay in a fantastic city. It is a great place to live in, close to city centre by bus (10 mins max) lovely breakfast.. kettle, cups, coffee and tea bags are provided.. very nice and spacious room. Economic, especially for singles where Hotels only cater for couples. University is in a great setting with easy access to Bath, excellent catering facilities also. Staff were very friendly, the room was spacious, comfortable and bright, breakfast was very good. The surrounding area was lovely and the bus service was convenient. The clean,quiet, well maintained and comfortable superior-single room with ensuite bathroom, towels provided and room cleaned/bed made each day.Also the garden view. Good value. Very good breakfast - coffee lovely. O n-site "mall" vg including bar. I have already told others to think about the uni option when visiting Bath. It is a little bit outside of the city and difficult to find which building you stay. But people are friendly and helpful in the campus. Breakfest was good too. Price for Bath was good with excellent bus links to City Centre for evening meal. Good car parking and room was very quiet so had an undisturbed nights sleep. We chose to stay at two university accommodation, one in London, one in Bath. Room space, guest-friendly...everything in Bath is much more better. Convenient for our stay. Lots of schools groups, large groups of kids etc, and when all these people are queing for breakfast at the same time, it can be frustrating. The windows and walls provided no sound proofing whatsoever - not a room for light sleepers or anyone hoping not to get woken up by drunk students coming back to their rooms. No extra chair in the room for a visitor, too few clothes hangars. Disruption due to school groups and building work - we seem to have chosen a bad time to visit. I was kept awake until late by noisy unsupervised visiting school groups and then woken up at 5.40 AM by the arrival of heavy vehicles and machinery onto the nearby building site. I appreciate this must have been a bad time to visit, and that these would not be usual occurances, but as a visitor from another University I was expecting neither. Room was very cold, even after turning the heater up. When staff cleaned your room they would open the windows, making the room even colder. Bed was very hard, after 4 nights my back was killing me. Paid for breakfast (specifically found a hostel that came with breakfast) but due to Easter holiday, didn't get any breakfast on the 4 nights we stayed. Wish staff would have told me or price was lowered. Iffy cell phone service. Expected self catering (as you'd expect in student halls) but no crockery/cutlery/pans etc.. except for one cup with kettle in room. Meant that I had to eat out for the week rather than cooking at the residence. Fine, but would've been good to know in advance. Rooms a little cold and only one duvet - open for heating and/or additional blankets would've been nice. Breakfast too late for me, start at 7.30 instead?. The building access card issued to me was wrongly programmed for dates of stay, and on the second day in the evening I found myself unable to get into the building, luckily this was just before the office closed for the evening, and they were able to quickly re-programme it for me. At a weekend in vacation time, evening facilities for eating are rather limited. Breakfast starts a little late (0800). We were on bikes, I did know it was up hill, but there is a bus service. Everything was quite far apart, like the restaurant for Breakfast and the Car Park, but this did not hinder our enjoyment at all. A hen party arriving back at 3.00 a.m., audible when crossing the court outside and then crashing about in corridor adjacent to our room. It did not particularly disturb me, but my wife's sleep was interrupted. (We knew they were a hen party because when we saw them the following morning they were still wearing sashes marked 'Bride', 'Bride's Mother', etc.!) Also, the automatic light in the shower/wc takes a long time to go off after leaving the room - slightly irritating at night!. no tv and not made aware of parking rules. paying for parking, its only small would be better of not charged out of term time as plenty of spaces. Breakfast was not the best I've had,. Only having to leave the campus on Sunday morning!. Revelers returning after a night out, without consideration for residents already in bed. Lack of Coathangers in room - 3 is not enough for a middle aged couple ! Should there have been a plug in the washbason in the bathroom ?. Thought perhaps signpost to key collection points made easier. Also maybe a mattress cover on mattresses under bottom sheet, very cold to lay on. Nothing. I would have liked a fresh fruit option available at breakfast. Poor signposting to parking and the accom office as you drive into the uni campus. Also, the building works do affect getting around but you alerted me to that in your booking literature. It's that time of the year when it suddenly gets chilly and goes back to normal... but you dont have heating as its beginning of September.. So yes, a bit chilly. It was a smaller double bed than we are used to. Reception staff although friendly could do with training as we had difficulty getting to grips with door access and finding room and cafeteria locations. Maybe some printed instruction would help older travellers like us!. Not sure if we can use the gym or not. Confusing to find restaurant for breakfast. Signage would help. The building that I stayed in was like an echo chamber. Every foot step in the corridor was amplified to a ridiculous level due to lack of sound absorbent materials on the floor. Every door, likewise banged shut with a terrible noise. The building was relatively empty during my stay so this was not a major issue. During busy times it would be unbearable. Do not have a key to the door lock. We quickly replaced the room, but one was uncomfortable and gloomy. But the second is large enough, and we settled in it. Since we removed the full price for two rooms, although changed reservations. So expect Return 50 pounds. Only had one key between the 2 of us and you need keys to get into outside doors as well as your own door which did cause us difficulties. Some guests - Open University Summer School students? - less than considerate at night regarding noise and disturbance through the night. No fault of Bath Uni but a shame nonetheless especially as mature students should know how to behave. The location is fine if you're attending an event at Bath University (as I was). If you can't drive, you may find it a bit far from the centre of Bath. Why does Bath's own site charge more than letsbookhotel.com for a accommodation?. I booked a double room and was given a twin room which was fine but nevertheless a mistake. The room key card was not programmed and so I had to return to reception to get this sorted. I also found half empty bottles of shower gel etc. in the shower. I think whoever cleaned the room did a poor job. The bedside table was dirty and had not been wiped down at all. I think the room was half cleaned. I told the lady this in reception on saturday morning and she didnt seem to care. I had no idea where to go when I arrived. I had little time to find the room and leave for an important talk. It took me three goes around the block to find anyone to help on a Friday evening. I think a sign, direction, before leaving would be extremely helpful. Now I know where to go, it's easy! But a new costumer, it's a one way mystery. Breakfast's time. Only from 8 to 10 am. I was starting work at 10 am so it was ok, but normally I start working at 8 am so It would have been impossible to have breakfast. Would have liked fresh fruit at breakfast (not even a banana in sight!). Too much cholesterol (fruit is healthier & cheaper!). Out of the way from Bath city center although it will take 10 minutes by public bus. Matress on bed was awful. Didn't appear to have our booking. We weren't informed that there was no food on campus on a bank holiday. A little out of the way (but good bus service). tricky to find, not really optimal for late arrival and families, though all manageable thanks to the kind staff. Long walk to breakfast. Shower room smelled of damp, breakfast could have been hotter. The bed was lumpy (old mattress with protruding springs). It is a bit far from the city. My shower didn't work at all - luckily my friend was next door so I used hers. Very difficult to find the security staff after hours then difficult to find the room we were staying in - no map given and no explanation of how to decipher dormitory number.
