The hotel was ideally located for visiting our family and friends for a big birthday party. The room was ideal in size comfort and facilities for our weekend needs. Staff were very willing to help and to please. Next to the hotel was a pub/restaurant which we liked a lot too, offering a carvery for our Sunday lunch with friends. The children had a treat on Sat evening from the close-by (100m) KFC & McDo's. The location would have been equally good for other purposes, e.g. exploring the Peak.
所有评语 » The staff were so helpful - everyone from the lady I phoned on our way there when we were lost (sat nav issue) to the lady after I checked out who googled the closest petrol station for me. We had a small dog with us and we were on the ground floor which was perfect for those little trips outside. The room was perfect for our needs - clean and not over warm. Friendly helpful staff ,lift to rooms ,nice size bedroom with good shower and toilet facilities ,hanging space,and drawers for clothes,loved the bathroom mirror. GOod lights. Tea making tray plenty of tea bags coffee etc.available. Missed breakfast as we had to get to the hospital to visit my sister who is seriously ill. The initial service was quick and efficient. The room was large but comfortable - good bed - good shower and toilet facilities. Could have done with another chair in room and maybe more beverages and milk. However very good with good facilities on site (restaurant - fast food - pub). Very welcoming,the staff went 'the extra mile'nice relaxing atmosphere with plenty of amenities near by.Very clean,nice room with very comfortable beds,I look forward to staying again next year and will recommend it to the organisation we trained with last weekend. Staff were very polite and helpful. Cant fault them at all. Room clean and comfy and for the price excellent value and although breakfast was a bit basic I have paid more for worse at 'quality' hotels. Would certainly stay again. This is an excellent stop over hotel for anyone. Just a few minutes from the M1 it is very convenient with lots of parking. . It is well presented with very comfortable beds and efficient showers. Brillant!. Clean comfortable and the staff were very helpful. All our needs were met there and shopping, petrol and food were there and next door. Ideal for our purpose of breaking our journey to Northumberland. We arrived very late evening the staff member on the desk he was very helpful very pleasant which was nice to be greeted like that when we were so tired in our room in no time at all. Amazing choice of breakfast and the quality of the food was excellent , also the staff were well informed about the local area and were very polite and professional and friendly. They must be doing something right - I have stayed here over 30 times in the last 12 months! The staff are the hotel's best asset - all are excellent - they cannot be faulted. The Hotel was very comfortable, clean and had great facilities with 24 hr snack area and a bar in the Hotel. It also had a KFC, McDONALDS AND A RESTURANT next door to it . I have stayed here numerous times so must like this hotel - BUT this week there was a real bonus - They now have free wifi in every room - and the signal is excellent!. The cost of a good size room with tea making facilities. Only two minutes from motorway but far enough that you couldn't hear the any traffic noise. Good size car park. Lovely room with choice of pillow, the new mattress toppers make the beds very comfortable. spacious with free wifi. self contained breakfast area adjacent reception. The room was comfortable, clean and had an ensuite shower and toilet. Blackout curtains! yeah!! Food available 24/7. Close to our relatives. Really good price. Very good value for money. Have stayed once before. We will definitely stay again as the hotel is convenient to visit family in Sheffield, Chesterfield and Clowne. The overall experience was pleasant and it's location meant that I could dash off in either direction easily, I will be staying there again as and when necessary. Stopped before excellent value for money with very clean accommodation, easily accessible hotel (from main arterial routes) and friendly staff. Found all staff to be polite courteous and helpful. Helpful friendly staff. i liked it because of the closeness to Barlborough treatment centre where my husband was having treatment. A bit noisy on Sat evening late and into the early hours. Doors banged. You could change this by putting all "revellers" on the same floor??. To be honest, for the price, there was nothing we didn't like. Hated the silly plastic tea spoon of which there was 1.T.V. Reception very poor kept losing picture and sound. But maybe the storm we had on our arrival had something to do with the loss. there were no problems. TV reception was non existent. Staff did warn on check in that the 'ariel wasn't working so TV may not be good reception'. Er it was non existent. And the ham sandwich isn't just a ham sandwich as advertised in the menu. Its Ham and Red Onion Chutney. Fine if you like that but I don't and I expected to get whats on the menu, not with added extras that I don't like. So couldn't eat it. Would help if the menu was accurate. The food was a little over priced. Had a much wanted drink of tea as soon as we got to the room unfortunately no tea bags for the morning only coffee. Poor choice of TV and radio channels (no radio 5 for the sport) AND WiFi is quite expensive in the hotel (in so many other places/hotels it is free - BUT - you can get it free nearby at the Treble Bob pub and McDonalds though!. Radio limited to only a few Channels - BBC1, 2 and 4 (I think.) What about radio 5 and the commerical channels? ALSO - TV only offers a few channels - No UK freeview really limits choice. Every other hotel I stay at offers this. The cost of breakfast which if you go to the pub 50yds away is better and cheaper. Why only provide 2 meagre towels for 2 guests, however provided more on request. As previous experience the sink very slow to drain. I didn't like running the tap in the shower room because there was a sewage smell every time we used the sink. Apart from that it was all good. Would have liked to have known that the policy for charging for pets had been introduced (not informed at time of booking) - £5 "per night" is excessive. Slow lift. Other than that nothing. Not a thing! it's a budget hotel and one of the best. The lack of air conditioning made it very humid and hard to sleep on what was one of the most hottest days of the year! Luckily I brought my travel fan!. Children running up and down corridors after 10.30 p.m. Have stayed twice and will be staying again when in the area so no dislikes at present. Sounds from bedroom upstairs when they were very amourous. Nothing. The smell of drains in the bathroom. Restaurant was not very inviting,. The for was a little on the expensive side but was nice. only one thing, the overflow in the en-suite bathroom basin stank when the water was let out of the basin. This could probable be cured with a squirt of bleach into the overflow every now and then. Nothing!. Those tea bags still lurk in the caddy.They are bl**** awful.Breakfast. There was plenty to choose on the cereal side, but more attention needs to be given to the full English side.Rather cool,ruined a good sausage and in general mediocre. Shame. arwkard to find. The corridors had a funny smell & reception staff never seemed to be on reception to welcome or assist but were friendly. Not enough milk and tea bags, had to clean kettle out. Cleaners using hoover early morning when guests still in till 12 lunch. N/A. Nothing. Internet quite expensive (10pounds a day). The post code is wrong so hard to find the place. There isn't a single door closer adjusted to shut the heavy fire doors quietly. They slam like cannons firing. Good luck trying to sleep unless you are stone deaf. Extras (eg breakfast, bar prices) expensive. Some normal extras (eg biscuits with tea / coffee in my room) missing. Limited free channels on the tv. No room service. Nothing. Nothing. As there was nothing to dislike.
