On arrival we were given a very warm welcome from Barbara the hotel receptionist, who even showed as to our room. She is a real credit to the hotel! The rooms were well laid out and we had an excellent view accross the marina. We will definitely be returning for a few nights break in the summer. The cocktails in the bistro bar are excellent, although I would recommend some strong painkillers for the morning after. The breakfast we had was one of the best from any hotel I have ever stayed in and.
所有评语 » We loved the atmosphere at the Salty Dog. It was close enough to Belfast without being in the City. Right on the historical harbor where all the allied forces met before they left for Normandy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would love to go back again and would definitely stay at the Salty Dog again!. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the manager on duty did her best to welcome us, inform us of local amenities, chat away to our little girl and as a whole, make us feel at home. Food lovely, rooms big, clean and welcoming. Each and every one of the staff was excellent. They were all very friendly, courteous and efficient. The bar was lively and the barmen made terrific cocktails. The food was also excellent, as was the location. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Accommodation was comfortable and with a great view over the ocean. Dining area was very popular and with an interesting menu. Overall despite a few issues rated well. We booked room 3 overlooking the water. It was a wonderful spacious room with a big bay window to view the water. The staff was excellent and the price for that room reasonable. It was very central, near to the shops.The restaurant at the salty dog was superb. The food was wonderful, both the breakfasts and the dinners were really delicious. Lovely friendly staff, interesting rather than cookie-cutter rooms, great food! Much more like a old-style guest house than a hotel, but with all the mod-cons. Lots of stairs, but they add to the charm on the hotel and their staff was more than helpful in getting our many bags up and down. Nothing to complain about. Having to leave !!. Lugging luggage up a number of flights of stairs would have challenged older tourists, and the most disappointing was an hour and a half wait for dinner. We had finished the bottle of wine by the time the meal arrived. It was unprofessional and required more than apologies. Lots of stairs but worth it to see the view.. Food presentation was A1 but very salty, no pun intended! e.g. the food at the Jamaica Inn was brilliant but loved the salty dog for atmosphere etc.. I will definitely be going back!. room very small and no view. Lack of drawers in the bedroom. Breakfasts were a bit hectic but understandable. The Weather. Stairs up to room were very gloomy and old. Bedroom cramped, very "worn", relatively expensive for the quality on offer. Price over rated for a box room. Food good what you got of it.
