Much better than a classic hotel room if you intend to spend time in your room.
Location is right on Taksim place, in front of Gezi park and Divan hotel. The downside is that it is a bit noisy with ongoing roadworks and traffic at this time. -

the host was amazingly kind, He was all the time helping us and suggesting us places to go and the best way to go there. Actually when we arrived he even gave us a nice introduction about the city that was very helpful. Its located just next to Taksim Square so you are good located for the tours and for the night life in Istanbul! -

We mentioned in our booking that we were on our honeymoon and he gave us a lovely room and did his best to make the room as romantic as possible (candles, fruit, romantic music). Definitely not an experience you would receive in a large hotel where you are just another guest.
