What was there to like about the Retropera Suites? EVERYTHING. The hotel staff did their upmost best to make our stay perfect. Personal contact between the hotel owners and the guests, taking the time to ask about the plans/things to visit that day, where to eat, give suggestions about where to go without being bossy or demanding. The hospitality of Mehmet and Rahmi, the generous hotel owners, was enormous and we are so greatful and thankful to have met them. They are really great people with a.
所有评语 » After a rather stressful stay and cancellation by host at a residence in Istanbul, the team at Restropera hotel were a breath of fresh air. Mehmet and Rahmi embody the essence of Turkish hospitality as they welcomed us with smiling faces and their calm auras, all which contributed to a very smooth and effortless check in. they attended to our every need and helped us settle in. They helped us plan our day trip to Prince's Island by finding us the ferry itinerary and printing for us all the refe. Everything from the moment I set foot in this family run hotel! I arrived close to 10am, reception excused themselves as my room was not ready. Of course being so early I did not expect the room to be ready, let alone an apology!! I was invited to b'fast after check in - I was not entitled to this b’fast it was also late for b’fast room - but restaurant also remained open to accommodate me! At the terrace b'fast room I met the nephew of the owner, just 20 yrs old with an incredible hospitable c. I stayed at Retropera twice this summer and can recommend it highly; I wouldn't hesitate to choose it again. The owners/designers Rahmi and Mehmet have created a stylish, tranquil boutique hotel in a perfect location and operate it, along with front-desk guru Tugrul, with a personal touch and careful attention to detail. The hotel is no more that 5 mins from the Havatas Airport Bus terminus (just continue in the same direction, taking the right fork past the Otopark entrance) and even closer . Rahmi, Mehmet (the two owners) and all other staff members have one goal, make you feel at home. And they surely do! I am a frequent traveler and I've never felt so at ease in any hotel (big or small) as at the Retropera hotel. The hotel is clean, quiet (although it is only 50 meters away from Taksim square and the main shopping street), the rooms are comfortable (free wifi, great rain showers!), nice retro decoration, good breakfast and most important - very friendly and helpful staff, There i. I must mention that the attentiveness of staffs and the owner makes this hotel extra special, we were very well looked after while the 2 days we stayed there. When we arrived the hotel late at night, the owner was waiting at the entrance expecting us helping us out on the luggages. With a quick check-in, we were given a free full bottle of orange juice then off to a clean suite. The buffet breakfast was served at the terrace with a great view. wi. We stayed at the Retropera hotel for a romantic weekend and it was fantastic! The staff was so friendly that We felt as if We were at home not at a hotel. The owners are very nice young guys that welcomed us so warmly! The room was great, a very exquisite style, there were some drinks, coffee, tea, they offered to get some drinks at the terrace whenever We wanted. The shower was amazing, in general you can feel the quality amenities. We met one of the owners Mehmet , he was extremely friendly a. I am a regular traveler staying at various hotels round the world and it is not exaggerating to say this is the most friendly staff hotel I have ever stayed at. It is run by the owner and everybody certainly go out of their way to help you out in any way making you feel as comfortable and pleasant as they can. They can give you all the tips you need to know. The breakfast is served between 7.30 till 10.30 served on top floor terrace with a nice overlooking to Istanbul. I had to leave early one . I'll start by the end: this is a perfect 10!..Location - perfect, 50 meters from Taksim square and Istiklal street (pedestrian street, full of shops, that take us to main touristic places of Istanbul); it's also about 200 meters from public bus that goes to Istambul's airports. Room - excelent, cozy, with modern decoration and all facilities; very good bathroom. Breakfast - in hotel's terrace, with a good city's view; it's very complete, in buffet style, with everything that we need to start th. I stayed at Retropera hotel for five nights while visiting a conference (and some additional days of sightseeing). It is a perfect hotel in a great location, right next to the Taksim square, walking distance to the conference (icc) and very close to the main shopping street (Istiklal). The high hospitality , kindness of the staff and owners were excellent. the location of the hotel was very good as we can reach anywhere in istanbul specially that the taksim metro station was very close. Althought the rooms were small but very clean and well furnished. we had a good breakfast on the terrace with a nice view overthere. Each person on staff and the owners went out of their way to ensure that I was satisfied with my room, meals, sightseeing and shopping plans. As my flight was leaving very early in the morning, the owners made sure that breakfast was prepared and kept in the small fridge in my room. Pretty cool aesthetics -- exposed original brick wall and nice bathroom facilities -- I did not want to get out of the rainfall shower! However, I can safely say without exagerration, that this was the best hotel I have ever been. I was staying at the Retropera hotel for 5 days. The location is just fantastic - 2 munites walk to the metro station, 5 munites walk to Istiklal Avenue. Despite many rumors it was quite on the Taksim square, except that many police groups on weekends for prevention reasons. The area seems to be safe since it is always crowded and illuminated in the nights. The staff is VERY nice, friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions. They have given me Istanbulkart to pay at all types of public . The attention and kindness of the staff and owners were incredible. They were concerned with every detail so it could make our stay more pleasant. If you need suggestions of restaurants and places to visit they can tell you. Our room (very clean and beautiful), so as the breakfast room, is at the terrace and with an amazing view. Neer the Taxim square,I can go easily to metro,tram,havatas(to airport). Second ,facility seems to be new, elevator exists. All was clean. Third, 4th floor is dining room. The hotel is in the city centre of Istanbul, Taksim square, well connected with trasports and airports I will definitely recommend this hotel for your staying in Istanbul. They went out of their way to advise us on sightseeing, restaurants, transport etc. They helped us with our bags getting to and from the airport bus. The rooms would have benefited from a bit more storage space, but that's a minor issue. The bed, although very comfortable, was a little short for tall people. Nothing whatsoever, beware however of the touts is Istikal street! refuse all offers of a fellow diner if you are alone, you'll land up getting invited to a club for a drink, and then be asked to pay 500L for a drink! Brazen it out and you'll be ok!. What I didnt like it that I didnt want to leave, in other words it is a perfect hotel. The room was a bit on the small side (but I guess that's the same everywhere in central Istanbul). There's nothing I didn't like!. It was a tad noisy at night but what do you expect staying in the heart of Istanbul. Nothing.
