  This was my 1st time staying at the LK Metropole but it won't be my last . When I got there the hotel was overbooked but they had held me a suite and I got a free upgrade . That was a very good start. The suite was huge and spacious . Beautiful room , really nice bathroom and 42 inch Sony TV . I let the hotel know the purpose of my visit and upon arrival I was given a letter from the Manager saying how sorry the staff were to hear of my news.   Nice two swimming pools. The hotel facilities deserves four star, in my opinion. The room is large and clean. In the hotel you can see many westerns with young Thai girls or boys, it's Pattaya... The hotel located 2 mins away from Pattaya Road 2 (one of the Main Streets in this city), and you can take the bus (truck?? But if you want take it not on the main streets, do bargain and agree th - This was my second stay at Areca. It's a bit 'tired' but great value all the same. Central to everything, the beach, shopping, bars etc. and easy to get a tuk tuk from to see wider Pattaya. Personally, I liked to walk. You see a lot more that way. The pools at Areca are fabulous after the heat and humidity. If I ever go back to Pattaya I would stay there a third time.
