  Staff was very helpful and friendly, smiling a lot even if not all of them could speak english, but they always tried to do 110%. Dorm room was nice, comfortable beds, enough fans. I stayed there longer than I planned at first. - Great place to stay, just 5 minutes walking straight from the bus stop. It is really cheap but the rooms are well equipped and cozy. Even have mosquitonets. Staff is friendly and helpful and the owner a supernice guy. I enjoyed staying there, especially for what you get for your money and i could recommend it to everybody, even to families because it is not loud there at all. One of my favourite places so far.

  Lek house is not in the center of Chiang Rai but not too long a walk from the Bus Stattion, Clock Tower or Night Bazaar. I had a problem with the toilet in my room, so they "upgrade" me to an ac room w/TV for no extra charge. The peole who run Lek house are wondeful and they offer a Thai cooking class. They arranged an English speaking driver/guide named Chi, who took me to the White Temple, - It was located in front of a small lake. So nice n lovely! Enjoyable to sit spending time n rekaxing. The staff were very helpful n friendly enough. Comfortable common open lounge upstairs, lovely! I would say lovely n cozy considering just 450Baht per night. Breakfast included. One of the best I have stayed at during my ling traveling among the budget hostels!
