Very well located: 5 min walk from Kaosan rd, 1 min from ferry pier, a lot of night markets, massage places, restaurants, bars… For the price, it is clean enough. It’s quiet and you can sleep ok. Staff is ok. You can book train tickets from Erawan agency just next door. the staff were so nice and friendly went out of their way to help good location not too hectic around and hidden off the beaten track but markets all around and good markets the people didn't annoy you on the market trail I will stay again.

Perfect locationt, 15 minutes walk to the main temples, nicest cafe downstairs in the lounge zone, where we used to spend all our rest-time in the evenings. The place was in a great location close to river ferry and roads around kho san but still quiet. Rooms simple but everything we needed, ac amazing. Happy House was quiet and the location is awesome. The beds are also comfortable. The staff was helpful. Quite a decent and afordable hostel with tiny but comfortable rooms with a tidy en suite bathroom. It's close to khao San road but not too close. Lots of things to do around. Nice food. The staff were very accomodating. No noise:) Not so nice furniture Bit dirty with cockroaches Khao san reception attitude (pay in advance, pay deposit but at least not rude Cheapier rooms would be too small and no balcony, I suggest pay a little more. Tiny rooms. It didn't have internet in the rooms so you had to go to the restaurant (this was in their description but still a downside). One of the rooms we stayed in had gum on the wall (we stayed at Happy House twice). Very poor breakfast. The restaurant on the groundfloor is a disaster. You can slap samobody with their pancake and knock him down. Tasteless coffee, awful sandwiches. Some small ants in the room but nothing too bad. I noticed a few rats in the common area. - 1000bht/passport deposit for a room. toilet outside the room, 1000 baths deposit for the key. Room is too small. Some employees have been very unfriendly. No blanket-cover. We booked one standard and one compact room, but the compact room was more comfortable and it had a window that didn't overlook the neighboring hallway! So just book the compact, it might be better than the standard room. The aircon also didn't work properly. The room didn't smell good and I requested for a twin room but they gave me a double. They do not have Wifi in the rooms. basic room. The lady that works the night shift should learn to be nicer! Asked to buy a water and she told me to go to 7eleven! Always talking in Thai with her collegue and laughing in our faces!. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Do not allow them to give you room 101. It's a pit. Straight off the busy bar and reception area. The air-condition did't work well. Can get quite noisy at night, as the walls are quite thin. Wi-fi only available in public area's. no refridgerators, too small, too loud. the room is a bit small. The staff were rude and the room was not so clean. small room and don't have windows. Not so good. First they refused to allot me the room as I have cancelled previous booking and rebooked the same hotel with higher price. But finally they agree and allot me room with the price mentioned on my printout. After challenging them with my letsbookhotel.com account they agree. Rooms are very small and the toilet is also small and not compatible with the description of the hotel. Don't have wifi in room, jut lobby only. No hot water in bathroom. The room was very small, the bad smell, not clean, huge bugs in the bathroom, rats on the first floor (near reception). Tiny room, bed was very uncomfortable. I have stayed here many times over the years and each time the hotel looks a little more tired. This visit will be my last, the beds were so uncomfortable I could not sleep at all, not even an alcoholic coma could induce good respite. It's a busy place and relatively cheap however as prices rise, the facility doesn't which is kinda usual. Happy House, you can do better. Tiny room. noise (but my own fault for staying so close to ko san rd). the tiny room bed the security. some staff are unfriendly. The room is too small and not comfortable. Couldn't access wifi in room. Loud...4 A.M. people running down halls screaming. People pounding on walls. Stay at the hostel accross the street...etawaan. Much better run. Better rooms better staff for only a $1.50 more. The beds were as hard as concrete. The sheets and blankets were dirty and stained. God knows what it was stained with. Staff was hard to communicate with. On bookings.com, it says "change of plans? Hey it happens! Cancel booking..." And we did have a change of plans, and staff said no refunds. They charge 20baht if you want to plug your phone in, or charge your computer. Wow. Such hospitality. It was so bad, we ended up subletting our room after 3 days into our week long stay. Everything in this dirty full of smoking place...
