This is a wonderful hotel. Our room was spacious and clean and filled with light. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and water pressure. Hotel location was close to the center of town - an easy walk, The hotel staff was extraordinary and helpful way beyond any expectations. My husband and I wish every hotel in Europe was as wonderful as the Rex. Highly recommended!. 所有 评语
I stayed one night, spent the day sightseeing and some shopping. The hotel is in a great location close to shopping,sightseeing and the train station.I walked everywhere. The staff was very helpful. I was leaving before breakfast so they packed me a breakfast. The room was bright, clean, modern. It was a pleasure to stay in and I highly recommend it. I will stay there the next time I am in Zurich!. Everyone at the Hotel Rex was most accomodating right from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. The location was very convenient to the Central part of town and Old Town and right near the tram making transportation very easy. The breakfast was also very good, I loved the colored eggs!. Great location with train stops nearby and easy access to the main station. A very comfortable bed to sleep in. Morning breakfast was delicious and the staff was helpful for many questions. Noise was minimal from either the street or other guests.Very nice hotel! Walking distance from train station and city centre. Friendly staff, beautiful room with nice bathroom. And they offer a good variety in breakfast, incl. juice, coffee, cereal, yoghurt, ham, salami, bread, cheese, fruits, boiled egg etc. It is not cheap. But in Zurich, you don't always have cheap options.It is not far away from the train station, and easy to go there by tram No.7 from the train station. The breakfast is good. The receptionests are very kind. The room is very clean and comfortable, it is value for the price in Zurich City.The courtesy of the staff was excellent. There is a fair bit of traffic noise, but we were prepared for that.noise coming from hallway and from other rooms. the door of the bath couldn't be closed easily. No comfortable place to sit in room, road construction meant that thetram service was replaced by buses, but the notifications at tram stopswere not very clear. (Due for completion December 2008). there should be more available parking places. I did choose this hotel because it said free public parking was possible on site. The fact is they have only 4 spaces, the rest was paid on street parking which is free at night (none available). I ended up putting my car in a paid car park. They did not have a proper baby seat in breakfast room. We ended up taking turns holding our child while the other had breakfast.The reconstruction of the tram line in progress in front of the hotel was not mentioned. It affected to the access to/from the station or airport.Very much street noise due to trams coming and going.The pillows were too small. The basin were too small.The bed sheet is old and feels strange. Does not match the overall hotel at all.They just offer breakfast in their small restuarant, but do not offer food other time. Hope they can also offer lunch and supper in the future.Cost too high for the space of the room ! Very small rooms !!. my room was very very small. little expensive but this could have been due to euro 2008 football. there was no coffee on one day for the breakfast. the toilet is a bit small.Directions on Booking.com for arrival by car were slightly incorrect . The proprietress aggreed and said she would seek to ammend that. I know Zurich is expensive and this hotel didn't disappoint in that regard - the most we paid anywhere else in Europe for one nights stay was CHF 210 (Rex = CHF 320). Both of our short stays at the hotel wer ver the weekend. I don't recall the hotel indicating when we made the booking that their restaurant facilities are only open for breakfast during the weekends and no dining facilities are provided. This was a bit disappointing.mini bar is so expensive. little far from railway station, need 30 minutes by walk.Pillows far too soft. I was dissappointed that I could not use my computer on the wifi pay as you go service. This may have been a fault within my computer, although both my colleague and I suffered the same problem. We reported this to Reception.two times we came back to the hotel around 13:00 after at least 4 hours and the room was not cleaned yet!!. Poor breakfast (a long standing problem), elevator out of service.Bed was a bit hard and could of done with a choice of pillows. no a/c, too noisy. cover sheet is not so comfortable.
