Hotel with lots of character. Super clean rooms, spotless in fact! Large spacious rooms with sitting area, small bathroom but ok for our needs. Fab view of the fairytale castle. Liked the free bottled water and chocolates. Super yummy breakfast in the morning. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again! Oh, also loved the downstairs bar and restaurant area. Very cosy and nice with good food.

The hotel has a lot of character. The staff was extremely friendly and the included breakfast was good. The location is good, right at the base of the castle and walking distance to downtown and shopping/dining. Breakfast! Not a great selection, but very tasty and served in a very welcoming restaurant/bar/lounge room. Excellent location not very far from Lake Thun. Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent position for Town, river and lake. Free coffee machine was great. Nice big rooms with huge windows. Good tv. Excellent hotel with wonderful ambience, thanks to the very attentive and kind staff. Near the center of town. Will stay again. Nice Bar down at the ground floor, nice breakfast. The room was modern in furniture and design. The restaraunt/bar is nice. Very casual (peanuts on the floor), great, friendly service. The room was very spacious by EU standards. Bed was comfortable. WIFI was fast and reliable. This hotel was nice and close to the town. It was acceptable and good value for a short stay. Breakfast was fine. I liked the convenience of the hotel, relaxing easygoing atmosphere, good bar restaurant. Noise of traffic outside, but double glazed windows cut out the worst of it. Did not keep me awake at night so no problem really. Flimsy linen curtains that do not block the light out. no air-conditioning meant having the windows open with noise from traffic. music and chatter from bar patrons from restaurant downstairs went to midnight. Although the hotel has free parking, it's only a few spots right in front. If you don't get a free spot you'll need to feed the meters on the street. Furniture and equipment in the hotel room not up to date, needs an upgrade. Furniture in rooms is a bit basic and uncomfortable. Need two comfy chairs. There is an egg boiler for breakfast. Would be good to have a toaster as well. Nothing. I liked it all. The entrance is a bit tatty but once I got past that it was all good. It was noisy When we opened windows smoke from cigarettes came into our room. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was the "soundproof" statement in the room description. This is far from true. While the double glazed windows did limit the street noise, you could hear ever footstep in the hallway, any activity in the adjacent rooms and even every ring of the reception desk phone.
