I never before had met with such a warm and caring welcome, as if returning to your family. The room was big, really cozy in a rustical style and the balcony gave a great view to lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains. Wengen or Grindelwald and some less well-known skiing areas are quite close, referably go by car - despite that parking in Switzerland is mostly not for free (but is free at this place). there is free WLAN so we used our mobile pc, and we did not miss a TV set, but this is th.
所有评语 » Guest accommodation is in a typical Swiss chalet next to the owners residence. Very spacious room, with traditional decoration. Tea and coffee making facilities were also provided. Wonderful views over Lake Brienz and steam railway. Excellent WiFi connection. Breakfast simple but adequate. Host was very friendly and helpful. Located in a quiet residential area, ten minutes uphill walk from train station. Jacqueline and Woody were most friendly and helpful. The 'chalet' is very rustic with hand painted furniture. The views over Brienzersee are amazing. Breakfast is taken in the main house and there is a good variety of food to choose from. Parking is on the property and for us was undercover. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was nice and quiet here. Host and hostess very friendly and accommodating. We had a good 1 night stopover here. It was an inexpensive alternative to staying in Interlaken and it is a short drive to the Interlaken Ost station where we caught an early train for the Jungfraujoch. A traditional Swiss chalet which I was told built on 1604, but with interior nicely renovated and is spotless clean. The host was so friendly even with little English and shows a great hospitality makes us feel like home. Location was spectacular. You don't need a car to get around, but we found it helpful. Jackie was a very gracious host. Breakfast was abundant and ready for us each morning. The views are breathtaking. Really excellent facilities and location. The lady who runs this was very helpful to ensure our stay was as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Wi-Fi was also good. The pictures don't lie ;-). Very friendly staff, a big and nice family... Inside the chalet room (almost 400 yrs old), everything was incredibly clean, well taken care of and very nicely restored. The room was very cute and clean, well appointed and our host was exceptionally accommodating. Great if you want friendly charm, but not for kids. Jackie is so accomodatng and the little house is all and more than the pictures show. We would stay there again for a longer stay. We liked everything. For people over six feet tall, like myself, the beds are a little restrictive, due to both head boards and foot boards being fitted. Some noise was noticeable from room below, including being able to hear them snore!. Had a little trouble with internet at first, but the host was MOST accommodating and spent quite some time with me working on alternatives and a solution. Brienz was a nice little village, but for us it would not have been a place to linger. We strolled along the lake front a bit before dinner. Otherwise, it was a cheaper place to stay for access to Interlaken train station. It's a little bit hard to find this place with almost no signboard when driving. The breakfast could be better with more food and varieties... But other than that, it was very nice!. There was no sound proofing in our room, so the people below us heard EVERYTHING, and asked us to be quiet. So we felt really uncomfortable for our three night stay. Loved it all.
