  I was there for two nights, and, although not a family member, I was very much treated like one. The place is perfectly located and is suitable for those who long for a tranquil stay somewhere. All in all, is a cool place and best value ever, absolutely recommendable guesthouse! - We needed to be in Negombo for a wedding and this guest house was good value for money. The room was cleaner than expected and the owner was able to welcome us at 2am in the morning. There is a cafe serving breakfast right next door so don't worry about it being bed only. It was worth walking the streets in the evening as lots of restaurants and trinket shops are open. Overall a nice place to stop for 1 night.

I had planned to eat at Lords on the second night but it was closed - I had no qualms at all about just heading back to the hotel and eating there.
