Excellent location in the middle of old town. Short walk to Cathedral and Palace Alcazar. Next to tapas bars. Check Teresa bar opposite for delicious tapas and try local 'tinto de verano' drink which is a mix of wine with lemon. The hostal is located in a very old house so ready for a piece of history. A kind of time travel into old way of living in Barrio. There are 5 bathrooms in the house so don't worry that the rooms are without them. Place is clean and quiet, friendly staff. This place has.
所有评语 » The place had loads of character, we loved the quirky shapes and designs of the place and our room was delightful, and there are some lovely public spaces. The location was absolutely brilliant, right in the heart of Santa Cruz and close to the cathedral. It was amazing to get such good value accommodation in this spot. The staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are basic, but for people on a budget, the Vergara is a cut above. Loved being in the heart of the Santa Cruz, it's full of atmosphere and so is this great little pension. Friendly, helpful staff, spacious room with air con and heating and quirky little curios everywhere. Bars and little shops on the doorstep and so close to the cathedral and Alcazar. We just loved it. -The location is fantastic. The hotel is literally a two minute walk to the Cathedral and Alcazar. -The rooms are very eclectic and it made for an interesting place to stay. -Staff was friendly and helpful. - Sure the bathrooms are separate but they were relatively clean and there was plenty of them. Great location!!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean, and there were enough on both floors so that you didn't have to wait. Room was slightly on the cold side. The staff was friendly, but not particularly helpful. The rooms were comfortable, but a little cold. The walls are pretty thin so bring ear plugs. The air conditioner is noisy, but the cooling is acceptable. Bathroom was really a shower and toilet cubicle. Blankets had a musty smell,. Small bathrooms, but very clean ;-). Lack of A/C in room (it was very hot and uncomfortable but staff was sympathetic and made a fan available). Not suitable for anyone unfit, the stairs are steep and numerous. Badly soundproofed. Doors though cool and old, with heavy lockers, but could be adjusted better. Room was a little bit cold. too hot in the room (under the roof), the staff gave me a fan but it had to be on all night. I booked a room with air conditioning but the room had none, however, my room was changed after two nights, but the weather was far too hot not to have air con!. No bathroom in room. The stairs to the rooms were tiny and stiff--it's not convenient for people travelling with luggage more than 15kg. The cleanliness needs to be improved. Bathroom was small, room was too much religiously decorated!!!. Dark room...very small small bathroom...it was even problem to take friend for one moment in the evening to the hotel... 1.made reservation but there is no room for me.them send me to another one which has the same name but with different direction. 2no lift here.
