  The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The hotel was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast offered lots of variety and was plentiful,healthy and great value.   The hotel is a beautiful, comfortable hotel and the staff very friendly. The location is superb, a short walk into the old town and great restaurants. Good shopping all around the hotel. It's an easy place to use as a base camp for day trips to the coast or other areas in the Costa Brava. We were directed to close by free parking - Actually didn't stay at the hotel due to technical problems but was booked in to a hotel round the corner (and had a junior suite!). Came back to Nord 1901 to use the pool and was offered a free drink. Staff at Nord 1901 are excellent, very friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. The hotel is also very close to the town centre (by foot) where there are some very good restaurants (I'd recommend Mimolet which has excellent 30 euro menu)

  The hotel is situated just across the river from the old town, and close to monuments, cultural facilities and shops.   The location, nestled in the historic district, very interesting, charming. The person at the front desk, when we finally arrived, very helpful. He even moved his car so we could park close to the hotel. Breakfast was good,liked having the fried eggs, in addition to the other offerings.
