  Easy to find the hotel because it is just in front of the Catedral. A few minutes walk to the historical town centre and Renfe station. Staff is also very friendly.   The Pension was great value. The room was clean and had a cute small balcony out onto a square. The bathrooms were spotless although a little dated. The location is excellent, its in the old town and right in the hustle of the city. There is also a Lidl 30 seconds walk away which had 0.25C beers!   I would highly recommend Luarri. The location is very quiet and scenic and a nice escape from the bustle of the city, and the buses into town are quick (maybe 10 mins to Ondaretta Beach and 25 to Gizupkoa Square) and regular and go from outside the front door (a taxi is around €10 from the main taxi rank at the edge of the old town). The windows have shutters so your room will be pitch black which makes it easy to sleep in late - Luarri is a little gem located in a peaceful setting on the mountainside but only a couple of minutes by car away from Ondarretta beach. Conveniently, the local bus stops outside the hotel every half hour or so and drops off at the funicular railway and then on to the centre of San Sebastián. This is a charming, Basque-style, family-run hotel with modern, stylish bedrooms ( only 7, I think). Belen provided us with directions to the hotel and we found it easily. Free parking was a bonus.
