  A nice, quiet hotel with many pool areas and friendly staff. Nice rooms, a good variety of foods in the breakfast and dinner. The family sized 2 bedroom-bungalow (5 persons) was nice and clean, just like the rest of the surrounding areas. Beds were ok. The food and variety is very ok for 3 stars. It does not look or is anything special, but there is plenty to choose and tastes well. The stuff is friendly, it's clean, pool is nice. The room is bit outdated, but beds were good, nothing broken and everything worked. The big plus are the quests, mostly from western europe and scandinavia, no noisy and rude drinking russians. We saw a few, but they were nice.

  We recommend Maspalomas Lago if you are looking for a cheap but nice place to stay. We have spent 3-6 weeks in Gran Canara the last 16 winters, always in bungalows in Maspalomas or Playa del Ingles. We hope we can come back next year and stay at Maspalomas Lago. We could have stayed in new or new renovated bungalows/hotels for a double price but the sun is the same in both places and it is the sun - The chalet was very good, as described. I was travelling alone and just wanted something basic and reasonably priced, a place to rest after a day out in the mountains of Gran Canaria, walking and taking pictures. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good wifi service for 18 euro a week. I would definitely return if I want to stay in Maspalomas again.

Antonio had said as I was travelling on my own he had put me in a bungalow close to the pool so it would be easier for me to interact with other guests.
