  It was a home from home, which is great after staying in hotels. The facilities were excellent and the location was great, just five minutes from Puerto del Sol.   I am so glad to say that everything about this central accomodation is absolutely perfect! My girlfriend and I arrived on a Thursday evening by Metro, and after some time fumbling around in the Gran Via area we found this gate (number 50) right next to Geox shoe store. Was a very sweet surprise to find 2 towel swans waiting for us, accompanied by a small bottle of c - I liked everything about this hostel. It is on the 5th floor but don't worry because they do have an elevator. The place was recently renovated so everything is new, modern, and beautifully decorated w/TV and nice quiet a/C. Even though it is on a very busy main street, my room #12 was quiet because it faced into a courtyard. Wi-Fi was free and worked great. The location could not be better. Very different to commercial establishments in as much as it is a converted apartment and was very interesting for us, a mature couple. We were placed in a huge room at no extra cost. Very clean.   Good location near the Palaces, Opera and Plaza Mayor but on a quietish side street. Good sized pleasant room. Worth going to for the amazing breakfast selection alone. - The staff was very friendly and helpful. Absolutely perfect location if you want to do sigh seeings. Close to variouse restaurants and pub.

The room itself was a good size and was comfortable with plenty of storage space. The Shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. Breakfast was not quite a full English but good by European standards. Location was super for direct transfers from the airport on the C1 train (2.50€) then less than 5 minutes walk. Location also excellent for Old City and you can catch a train direct to Atocha station (1.60€),
