Nice friendly staff,good position only 10mins by fast regular metro system to the city centre with easy airport access too and easy to find only mintues from the metro.Rooms clean and comfortable great value for money for Madrid.Plenty of shops including a supermarket by the metro exit,bars and shops nearby.Also if like me a few cans of beer upon ones return,try the little shop a few doors away where i was getting 2xlarge beers and a bottle of coke for only 3 euros.Overall it ticks all the box.

The location couldnt be better, near a crucial tube station to go to central Madrid and equally connected to reach to the airport. Even though there is no breakfast -as in most bed and breakfast in Spain- there is a legendary Churreria near by, in c. Hernani, and even if you are very early (as we were) heading to the airport, on your way to the tube station there is aCafeteria opened, with churros and lovely coffee (I'm. Very good value for money, excellent location (I run in the mornings, and the hostel is within running distance from a very nice park at the outskirts of the city, while at the same time being 2 minutes' walk from a major metro station connecting you to the city centre and the airport). Staff friendly and helpful, though barely speak English. Rooms squeaky clean, which is the most important thing for me. The hostal is really close to the metro station, so a good position to go both to the airport and to the city center. The area is well served by supermarkets, restaurants and bars. The price was low, compared to the average of the other hotel I saw. Location, friendly staff. Staff friendly and helpful. Allowed us to choose whatever room was available. Stayed in #10, probably one of the bigger better rooms with double bed and flat screen tv. It was quiet, being an interior room. There's a shared kitchen, washing machine and free wifi with good signal. The hostal is near the corner of a busy street full of shops, metro a few meters away, neighborhood is safe with diverse immigrant community. Reminds me of parts of Los Angeles, which I like. Stayed one night at discou. 1. Helpful staff who speak decent English 2. Proximity to Metro lines 1 & 2 (to City) and 8 (to Airport). Clean, simple, exactly what you pay for. Good location. The cheap price, near the metro. No breakfast,but not a problem with the various local outlets.Also i had a double room which was great but could be a little small for two. A bit noisy - windows single glazed and facing a busy street, and internal walls not very thick either. There is a helpful note on the wall (in Spanish) asking the guests to keep quiet after hours, but not all respect it, so if you need a good night's sleep before an important meeting you risk running into problems. The bathroom was a little uncomfortable because of a very small shower. My room faced on the street, so during the night it was a little bit noisy because all the people who were talking really loud outside the bars. Weak wi-fi, very cold place. I would not recommend it during winter months. No elevator but staff helps carry luggage. Not recommended if you have heavy bags and a room on the upper floors. Sheets were dirty and clearly not changed between visitors. Was disgusting. Staff was unhelpful, unfriendly it is not recommended for old people (there is not lift) and nobody will ever attempt to offer you help with the bags. Extremely noisy at any time people drags the bags though the stairs. The only period of quietness was from 3 am to about 7 am.
